Senior Director - Business Performance Improvement - System Transformation

Strategy practice. This role is responsible for shaping and leading enterprise-wide technology and systems transformation initiatives, including ERP modernization; transformational program leadership; business case development; point solution identification; infrastructure, cloud, network, and data platform transformation; architecture redesign; and M&A-driven systems integration, separation, and due diligence.

The SD advises C-suite stakeholders and private equity sponsors on digital transformation strategy, enterprise technology strategy, infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, and operating model alignment. The role also oversees multi-platform program delivery, expands Riveron’s Systems & Technology Transformation offerings, and drives growth across the System Strategy practice. In addition, the SD leads business development efforts, delivers complex solutions, and develops high-performing teams. This leader supports recruiting and talent development to ensure the firm has the expertise and capacity needed to deliver exceptional client results.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Finance, Management, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 15–20+ years of progressive experience leading enterprise technology and business transformation initiatives, including business application/ERP modernization and implementation, enterprise architecture, infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, M&A, and technology-enabled business transformation.

  • Prior experience as a CIO, VP of IT, or senior executive technology leader or significant senior-level consulting experience advising the Office of the CIO on enterprise technology strategy, operating model transformation, and large-scale technology initiatives.

  • Demonstrated success leading complex, cross-functional, multi-geography technology transformation programs, including ERP implementations, enterprise application modernization, infrastructure transformations, cloud migrations, system standups, and post-merger integrations.

  • Significant experience in M&A environments, including technology due diligence, integration planning and execution, carve-outs, infrastructure and application separation, TSA planning and execution, and Day 1/Day 100 readiness.

  • Strong consulting background (Big Four, national advisory, or boutique consulting firm) with demonstrated thought leadership, executive advisory, client relationship management, and business development capabilities.

  • Deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms, data architecture, cybersecurity considerations, and enterprise application ecosystems, including leading ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle Cloud, NetSuite, and Microsoft Dynamics 365.

  • Recognized as a trusted executive advisor with the ability to influence CIOs, CTOs, CFOs, CEOs, private equity sponsors, and boards of directors.

  • Proven track record of defining enterprise technology strategies, building executive relationships, establishing governance structures, and leading complex transformations across large organizations.

  • Demonstrated success recruiting, coaching, developing, and scaling high-performing consulting and delivery teams.

What You’ll Do:

Systems Transformation Strategy and Business Process Modernization

  • Define enterprise technology and systems transformation strategies, including digital transformation roadmaps, ERP modernization, enterprise architecture, infrastructure modernization, cloud adoption, and business application strategies aligned to business objectives.

  • Advise executive leadership, boards, and private equity sponsors on enterprise technology strategy, IT operating models, application portfolios, infrastructure investments, cybersecurity considerations, data strategy, integration architecture, and technology investment priorities.

  • Lead technology strategy assessments, operating model redesign, current- and future-state architecture development, and business case creation to improve operational performance and enable scalable growth.

  • Shape and expand Riveron's Systems & Technology Transformation offerings across ERP modernization, business application transformation, infrastructure modernization, cloud transformation, enterprise architecture, technology strategy, and technology-enabled performance improvement.

  • Lead technology workstreams supporting mergers, acquisitions, carve-outs, and divestitures, including technology due diligence, Day 1 and Day 100 planning, system integration and separation, infrastructure disentanglement, application rationalization, cloud and network separation, TSA planning and execution, and data migration.

  • Establish executive governance structures, transformation PMOs, program reporting, risk management frameworks, vendor management, and organizational change strategies for complex technology transformation programs.

  • Oversee enterprise application modernization initiatives, including business process redesign, requirements definition, solution evaluation and selection, implementation oversight, testing strategy, and value realization across ERP and other critical business platforms.

  • Lead enterprise architecture and application portfolio assessments, including technology roadmaps, application rationalization, platform selection, legacy modernization, integration strategy, and cloud adoption planning.

  • Define enterprise architecture principles and technology standards that align applications, infrastructure, cloud platforms, data, cybersecurity, and integration capabilities with long-term business strategy.

  • Serve as a trusted executive advisor throughout the transformation lifecycle, helping clients prioritize investments, manage technology risk, accelerate value creation, and achieve measurable business outcomes.

Business Development & Practice Growth

  • Drive business development activities by originating, qualifying, and closing new client engagements across enterprise technology strategy, systems transformation, ERP modernization, business applications, infrastructure, cloud, enterprise architecture, and M&A technology services.

  • Lead proposal development, pursuit strategy, solution architecture, scope definition, pricing, oral presentations, and deal shaping for complex technology transformation engagements.

  • Build trusted advisor relationships with C-suite executives, private equity sponsors, portfolio company leadership, and strategic alliance partners to identify opportunities and expand Riveron's Systems & Technology Transformation practice.

  • Expand existing client relationships by identifying follow-on opportunities and cross-selling integrated Riveron capabilities across Business Transformation, Transaction Advisory, CFO Services, and other practice areas.

  • Develop and enhance Riveron's Systems & Technology Transformation offerings, methodologies, accelerators, and intellectual capital to strengthen market differentiation and delivery excellence.

  • Represent Riveron in the marketplace through thought leadership, executive presentations, industry events, publications, and strategic networking activities.

  • Collaborate across Riveron service lines to develop integrated go-to-market strategies and deliver comprehensive, cross-functional solutions that address clients' strategic business and technology priorities.
