Director, Business Development/Capture
Multiple positions open for both Federal Civilian and Department of War, BD/Capture Directors.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Business Development & Market Growth
  • Identify, qualify, and mature new business opportunities within targeted Federal agencies and accounts.
  • Develop and execute account growth strategies aligned with corporate growth objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with government customers, industry partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Monitor agency forecasts, procurement trends, contract vehicles, and competitive landscapes.
  • Conduct market research and competitive intelligence to support pipeline development and strategic positioning.
  • Support pipeline management activities within CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Familiar with industry standard BI Tools such as GovWin / HigherGov and Open Source

Capture Management
  • Lead capture activities from pre-RFI through contract award.
  • Develop and implement capture plans, win strategies, and price-to-win approaches.
  • Coordinate gate reviews and ensure opportunities progress through the business development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with technical, operational, pricing, contracts, and proposal teams to develop compelling solutions.
  • Shape opportunities through customer engagement, teaming strategies, and discriminator development.
  • Manage teaming agreements, partner relationships, and subcontractor coordination.
  • Conduct black hat sessions, SWOT analyses, and competitive assessments.

Proposal Support
  • Support proposal development activities including solutioning, win themes, compliance reviews, and color team reviews.
  • Ensure proposal responses align with customer requirements, evaluation criteria, and corporate strategy.
  • Assist in development of staffing approaches, management plans, transition strategies, and technical narratives.
  • Participate in proposal reviews and executive briefings.

Customer & Industry Engagement
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and customer meetings.
  • Establish trusted advisor relationships with agency stakeholders and industry partners.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, acquisition trends, and mission priorities.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Federal Business Development and/or Capture Management experience.
  • Proven track record supporting or leading captures resulting in contract awards.
  • Strong knowledge of Federal procurement processes, FAR, and contract vehicles (e.g., GSA MAS, GWACs, BPAs, IDIQs).
  • Experience with CRM and pipeline management tools such as Salesforce.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple pursuits simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.

Pay Range
$225,000-$250,000 USD
