Job description

Founded in 1973, ISG is a nationally recognized, multi-disciplinary firm delivering full-service architecture, engineering, environmental, and planning solutions. We're excited to grow our Transportation team with the addition of a Transportation Design Project Manager; a strategic role for professionals passionate about planning, coordinating, designing and delivering transportation infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) standards and requirements.

In this role, you will work closely with Heidi Schwarz, PE, Project Manager, and collaborate with ISG internal resources for design and project execution, code review and evaluations, specification writing, visualization, and construction administration. You'll lead projects that align with WisDOT guidelines, ensuring compliance and quality while driving innovative solutions for our clients.

We're proud to support clients across the country with creative, forward-thinking solutions. ISG employee owners are motivated by a shared goal to stretch the limits of great design and go above and beyond to positively influence each other, our clients, and the communities we serve. If this sounds like a mission and culture you want to invest in, explore your career potential within our Transportation team.

View recent projects that you will get the opportunity to work on:
  • STH 29 Pavement and Structure Rehabilitation, Marathon County
  • STH 45 Resurfacing, Oneida County
  • STH 65 Resurfacing, St. Croix County
  • 2nd Street Reconstruction + 2-Way Cycle Track, City of La Crosse
  • USH 53 Reconstruction + Bridge Rehabilitation, La Crosse County
  • Serve as the primary liaison between ISG and clients, ensuring clear, consistent, and positive communication throughout the project lifecycle
  • Build and strengthen client relationships by actively listening and understanding their goals, priorities, and expectations
  • Translate client objectives into actionable plans and deadlines for the project team, promoting contextual design thinking and exploring alternative solutions
  • Lead regulatory coordination and oversee planning, design, and technical execution to ensure deliverables exceed client expectations
  • Act as a technical resource within the organization, providing expertise and guidance on transportation projects
  • Serve as a mentor and leader for local internal ISGers that demonstrates a high degree of professionalism
  • Support additional initiatives and responsibilities as assigned to contribute to team and organizational success

We've listed a compensation range that reflects our expectations for this role, including both direct and indirect components.  We understand that your experience and value may fall outside of this range. If you feel you're a strong fit but your compensation needs differ, we're open to a conversation-let's talk.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in civil engineering or related fields
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline

  • Paid time off, pro-rated amount available on your start date
  • Paid holidays and paid volunteer time
  • Paid parental leave
  • Bi-annual profit sharing
  • Employee Ownership Stock Plan (ESOP)

  • Life insurance
