Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Medical Assistant, you'll keep the day running smoothly and efficiently for your patients and clinical team.
Every day, you will take the lead on proactively preparing patient charts, ensuring all information is obtained and up-to-date for those seen in our facility. You can expect to have multiple patients daily depending on the number of physicians are on-site.
Your success in this role comes from your enthusiasm to help others, work efficiently, and your empathy for our patients.

  • Maintains hospital standards of zero tolerance for mislabeled specimens and collects laboratory specimens according to hospital protocol
  • Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested
  • Retrieves necessary equipment and supplies
  • Assists in patient/equipment preparation
  • Performs follow-up actions as directed
  • Completes hospital forms per protocol
Job Requirements

MINIMUM

High School Diploma or G.E.D. and a graduate of a Medical Assistant Program or completion of an U.S. Armed Forces medical services training program. Candidates who completed a program prior to February 2, 2000 can satisfy the minimum education requirements by providing evidence of direct supervision by the same physician, physician group, or physician assistant for a minimum of 2000 hours to satisfy the education requirements.

Demonstrated experience with computer programs utilized for checking-in and scheduling patients required.

American Heart Association BLS

PREFERRED

Previous MA experience

Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience

Previous experience in designated specialty

Bilingual skills
