Reports to: BOCES Executive Director and Principal

Job Description:

Blue Sky BOCES seeks a part time Mild/Moderate Special Education teacher forย King Murphy Elementary for the 2026-27 school year.ย  Clear Creek School District is on a 4-day a week schedule, Monday through Thursday. This position begins on Augย 5, 2026.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Strong instructional knowledge with a focus on research-based instructional strategies, curriculum alignment, and progress-monitoring that results in increased student achievement for students with disabilities
  • Ability to effectively co-teach with gen ed staff
  • Serve as case manager and lead the IEP team to achieve student learning goals
  • Proven communication skills that build strong relationships with students, staff, the community, and colleagues
  • Successful implementation of PLC, RTI, and PBS processes to achieve student learning goals
  • Effective organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Prepare progress reports and year-end evaluation, administering pre- and post-tests as appropriate and necessary
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Active CDE teaching license with certification as a Special Education Generalist (ages 5-21)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent skills in developing strong family-school partnerships

Salary:

Based on experience within the guidelines of the Blue Sky BOCES salary range. Benefits included.

Employment Period:

168 contract days
