Position Overview

The Clinical Director will provide oversight to Board Certified Behavior Analysts, Behavior Specialists and Registered Behavior Technicians. The Clinical Director works with the clinicians to complete Functional Behavioral Assessments to develop Behavior Support Plans, assists and oversees the creation of data measurement systems for implementation and collection, oversees/conducts on-going clinical training, attends and conducts interdisciplinary and program meetings. Responsible for modeling clinical professionalism and ethics, fostering quality individualized care, following clinical protocols. Promotes inter‑departmental collaboration with internal and external vendors.

We are currently partnering with a well‑established organization that operates residential facilities and adult day habilitation programs throughout North and South Jersey. They are seeking an experienced and qualified Clinical Director to join their leadership team. In this role, you will provide clinical oversight, supervision, and guidance to a team of behavioral therapists while ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, person‑centered behavioral services that enhance the lives of the individuals they support.

Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the development of Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs)
  • Assisting with the development of Behavior Support Plans (BSPs)
  • Review and approval of BSPs prior to implementation
  • Completion and evaluation of Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Entry and oversight of billable notes
  • Providing supervision hours to Registered Behavior Technicians and Behavior Specialists
  • Overseeing Clinical Rounds
  • Overseeing Behavior Management Committee meetings (BMC)
  • Monitoring restraint tracking
  • Managing and supporting the clinical on‑call rotation
  • Assisting in NJCAT reassessments
  • IDT and ISP attendance and reviews
  • Attending Meet and Greets
  • Completing annual evals
  • Attending Root Cause Analysis meetings and completing applicable follow‑up
  • Monitoring of the implementation of Behavior Support Plans
  • Provide training for staff implementing behavior support plans (BSPs)
  • Completing clinical trainings
  • Attend professional development opportunities and assign to clinicians
  • Responsible for modeling clinical professionalism and ethics, fostering quality individualized care, and following clinical protocols
  • Promotes inter‑departmental collaboration
  • Transfer skills to individuals’ natural support in the least restrictive environment
  • Conduct structured periodic Behavior Support Plan integrity checks to monitor the effectiveness of treatment programs and their implementation; modify and document plan changes as needed
  • Provide consultation regarding crisis interventions and critical incident supports
  • Participate in professional growth activities such as conferences, classes, team meetings and program visitations
  • Accept all other responsibilities as assigned
  • Approval for Crisis Management Technique implementation by staff
  • The BCBA’s caseload and programs may be updated at any time to best meet the needs of the individuals served
Qualifications
  • Board Certified Behavior Analyst meets the requirements of the Behavior Analyst Board Certification Board
  • Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, or a Master’s degree in education or psychology with a concentration in Behavioral Analysis.
Employment Requirements

At least 3 years of work experience in the field Intellectual Developmental Disabilities. Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and technology skills. Must be adaptable to changing workload and available to work a flexible work schedule. Proficient computer skills, mastery of Microsoft Office Applications up to and most significantly Excel.
