Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Director of Audiology to lead our Audiology department. The Director of Audiology will oversee all clinical and administrative aspects of the department, ensuring the delivery of high-quality audiological services. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, exceptional leadership skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the Audiology department, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
  • Oversee the delivery of comprehensive audiological services, including hearing assessments, hearing aid fittings, and auditory rehabilitation.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the highest standards of clinical care and patient safety.
  • Supervise, mentor, and evaluate audiology staff, fostering a collaborative and professional work environment.
  • Manage departmental budgets, resources, and equipment, ensuring efficient and cost-effective operations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and departments to coordinate patient care and improve service delivery.
  • Lead the development and implementation of audiology programs, including community outreach and education initiatives.
  • Stay current with advancements in audiology practices, technology, and research, and integrate new knowledge into clinical practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements.
  • Participate in the recruitment, training, and retention of audiology staff.
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and support professional development opportunities for audiology staff.

Requirements
Qualifications
  • Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree or equivalent.
  • Current state licensure in Audiology.
  • Certification from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or the American Board of Audiology (ABA).
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Audiology (CCC-A) (Required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical audiology experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
  • Experience in an ENT or Allergy practice is preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in audiological testing and diagnostic procedures.
  • Ability to manage departmental budgets and financial performance.
