Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Senior ATM & Financial Systems Software Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between low-level embedded hardware systems and modern cloud-native enterprise architectures. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and securing critical ATM software, transaction processing systems, and administrative dashboards. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of financial protocols, robust security standards, and modern DevOps practices, ensuring high availability, compliance, and seamless integration across our distributed banking infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • ATM Software Development: Design, develop, and maintain robust, high-performance software for ATMs and financial self-service terminals, ensuring seamless low-level interaction with hardware components.
  • API & Integration Engineering: Architect, implement, and maintain secure internal and external APIs for ATM fleet management, real-time status reporting, and seamless integration with core banking and enterprise systems.
  • Security & Cryptography Implementation: Implement and enforce advanced security measures, including cryptographic protocols (Triple DES, AES), tokenization, secure boot processes, and intrusion detection systems to safeguard financial transactions and terminal integrity.
  • Full-Stack & Dashboard Development: Build scalable backend services using modern languages and develop intuitive, responsive administrative dashboards for fleet monitoring and system configuration.
  • Database & Telemetry Management: Design and optimize relational databases for transactional integrity and leverage NoSQL databases for high-volume logging, auditing, and telemetry data analysis.
  • DevOps & Cloud Deployment: Orchestrate containerized deployments and manage backend infrastructure on cloud platforms, utilizing automated CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, reliable, and secure software delivery.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Adherence: Ensure all software development and system configurations strictly adhere to financial regulations, industry standards (e.g., EMV, ADA), PCI DSS, and internal corporate compliance policies.
  • System Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex software and network issues within a highly critical, distributed, and high-availability production environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with hardware engineers, cybersecurity specialists, compliance officers, and business stakeholders to align technical solutions with operational and business objectives.
Qualifications: Experience
  • Minimum Experience: 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on embedded systems, financial transaction systems, or ATM software development.
  • Embedded & Low-Level Systems: Proven track record of developing low-level applications interacting directly with hardware peripherals (e.g., card readers, cash dispensers, encrypting PIN pads).
  • Full-Stack Development: Demonstrated experience building enterprise-grade backend services and modern, responsive web-based administrative dashboards.
  • Financial Transaction Systems: Hands-on experience working with financial transaction messaging standards and secure payment processing workflows.
  • Security Hardening: Direct experience hardening operating systems (Windows Embedded/Linux) and implementing secure coding practices, threat modeling, and vulnerability remediation.
  • Cloud & Containerization: Experience deploying and managing applications in cloud environments using container orchestration platforms.
