Job description

Position Summary
Working in the distribution center and retail store environments, the Asset Protection Associate will be responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the company premises and personnel, interior and exterior of the assigned location, and, as needed, supporting asset protection needs of the retail locations supported by the assigned distribution center.
Position Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting unusual activity or circumstances
  • Confronts violators of policy and procedures in a professional manner to redirect behavior
  • Inspects buildings and access points
  • Assists Supervisor in restraining trespassers or other violators
  • Manages vehicular traffic by directing drivers
  • Maintains authorized DC truck yard traffic utilizing company tools and procedures
  • Supports investigations, conducting surveillances and gathering of facts
  • Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities
  • Maintains organization's stability and brand reputation by complying with legal requirements
  • Contributes to Inventory/Asset Protection team effort by accomplishing results as needed
  • Promotes awareness of company policies, procedures and directives
  • Submits new and innovative ideas to enhance job functions and company best practices
  • Provide assistance across business groups as needed

Qualifications
Education/Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Two or more years of related security experience. Proven knowledge of security operations and procedures. Prior security experience in retail or distribution centers is preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Outlook. Report Writing experience is preferred.
Position Hiring Range
The hiring pay range provides a good faith estimate of the salary or hourly wage that Living Spaces expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to: applicant's education, relevant work experience, knowledge, applicable and relevant skills and abilities, market demand, Company budget, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data. Living Spaces reserves the right to modify this page at any time.
Compensation: $17.40 - $22.60
Overtime pay is available for eligible, non-exempt Team Members. Reimbursement for expenses as required by applicable law and Company policy. Retail, Guest Services and Distribution Center Team Members are eligible to receive team bonus based on meeting specific goals and KPI's.
