Job description

Observe all Casino operations to ensure Guest Safety, and to detect errors, irregularities and compliance to established policies and procedures. Uses specialized equipment in the verification of possible abnormalities or suspicious behavior. Maintain a written account of activity performed and detected. Note areas for improvements and suggest corrective action to the Surveillance Director or Designee to prevent further irregularities. Perform such related duties as required or requested.
  • Ensure all Company property is observed to provide for optimum Guest and Team Member Safety and assistance while providing Company asset protection.
  • Ensure immediate action is taken on any situation which might be life threatening, illegal, or otherwise extraordinary.
  • Provide effective and professional interface with all public service officials and representatives from other gaming establishments.
  • Constantly monitor all areas within camera view.
  • Proactively keep known cheats off of property.
  • Ensure that all gaming regulations and procedures are being adhered to.
  • Maintain familiarity with procedures of other departments in the handling of Company assets and property.
  • Provide immediate notification of the appropriate department heads and civilian authorities upon detection of illegal activities.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding and working knowledge of Company emergency action procedures.
  • Effectively and professionally follow up actions and activities with reports as necessary.
  • Complete all reports in a timely, accurate and truthful manner.
  • Keep the Surveillance Director or Designee and other appropriate personnel informed of all pertinent information regarding Surveillance activities and any irregularities.
  • Oversee and, at times, verify large payouts by the Casino (i.e. Jackpots and Keno Hits).
  • Observe, detect, and report cheating activity.
  • Operate video equipment
  • Assist in completing a daily consolidated report on activities observed or reported.
  • Assist in the training of new Surveillance Team Members.
  • Testify in court as required.
  • Supervise and on duty Surveillance Team Members.
  • Perform other duties as requested or assigned.
