Within Societe Generale's Corporate & Investment Banking division, the Global Banking & Transactional Operations - Fixed Income & Currencies (GBTO/FIC) group delivers end-to-end technology solutions supporting front-to-back trading workflows globally. Our department specializes in pricing, market connectivity, market-making tools, risk analytics, post-trade processing, and trading system applications. The New York team is a key part of a global network supporting trading activities across Americas, Europe, and Asia. We are looking for an experienced IT Support Analyst with strong knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rates trading and derivatives products to support front-office electronic trading platforms. The role involves direct interaction with traders, sales, and e-business teams to provide timely and effective resolution of technical and functional issues in an agile, DevOps-driven environment. You will support a diverse suite of Forex (cash and options) integrated with multiple external trading venues and market data providers. Support activity may include Fixed Income trading applications coverage.

Candidates will be exposed to e-trading functions including streaming prices, trade STP, electronic trade execution, order management, and market depth aggregation. The candidate might also be exposed to advanced trading techniques such as intelligent auto-quoting and order routing, automatic hedging and automated trading strategies.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24/5 functional and technical support for front-office trading applications in a follow-the-sun model with other regions.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues in a multi-application, multi-region environment, coordinating with global support and development teams (NY, Paris, Bangalore, London, Montreal).
  • Manage incident lifecycle including identification, escalation, resolution, and post-mortem communication with traders, sales, operations, and senior management.
  • Collaborate closely with traders, business analysts, and developers to support continuous delivery and deployment in an agile/DevOps framework.
  • Document system requirements, support runbooks, and knowledge base articles to ensure maintainability and knowledge sharing.
  • Communicate proactively about system outages, releases, and upcoming changes to stakeholders.
  • Participate in release management and change control processes with global teams.
  • Monitor system health, trade flow, and market data feeds to anticipate and mitigate operational risks.
  • Maintain compliance with internal IT policies, financial regulations, and risk management standards.
  • Foster strong client relationships to ensure high service quality and user satisfaction.
     

Financial Markets & Product Knowledge

  • Solid understanding of FX (spot, forwards, options) and Interest Rate Derivatives (swaps, futures, options, forwards).
  • Knowledge of trade lifecycle processes from execution to clearing and settlement.
  • Familiarity with key trading platforms and market connectivity: Bloomberg, FXAll, Fidessa, Gain GTX, Currenex, FxConnect, FastMatch, TraderTools, MarkitWire, OASYS.
  • Awareness of relevant US financial regulations (Dodd-Frank, FINRA, FATCA) and compliance requirements.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in a fast-paced trading environment.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Sybase).
  • Experience with client/server architectures and middleware technologies (Tibco, RMDS, FIX protocol).
  • Comfortable working in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
  • Scripting skills (shell scripting mandatory; Python is a strong plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel (including advanced functions/macros).
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, ServiceNow, Git).
  • Experience with scheduling tools (Crontab) and basic network concepts is advantageous.
