ROLE SUMMARY:
The Production Manager will lead a team of leaders assisting the site to meet production goals and increase the organization's production efficiencies. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan, direct, and control daily operations in a production facility
- Proactively execute service, cost, productivity, health & safety/environment, and quality standards ensuring a productive work environment for all employees
- Provide direction, coaching, and counseling to Team Members and Front-Line Leaders
- Develop and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ensure compliance
- Participation in task forces for improvement in quality, safety, efficiency, 5S, etc.
- Manage budget, drive cost savings, and champion cost control initiatives
- Develop and manage a budget to meet goals and deliver results against challenging key performance indicators
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or related field preferred, but not required
- Minimum 5 years' experience; Experience in both Engineering and Operational environment preferred
- 3+ years leadership experience required
- Expert in process and mechanical engineering technologies
- Strong interpersonal skills and team orientation; technical, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Working knowledge of budgeting and cost control
- Knowledge of industrial equipment, controls, and preventative maintenance programs
- Ability to extract, evaluate, and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems
