Job description

About the Role

Smart Caregiver creates practical technology and safety products that support caregivers, older adults and people who need additional assistance.

We are seeking a versatile, highly skilled Multimedia Production Artist to join our in-house creative team. This role will report to our Creative Director.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can turn established creative direction into polished, accurate and effective work across e-commerce, print, photography, video and social media. You will work from creative briefs, brand guidelines, templates and reference designs while contributing thoughtful ideas that improve quality, clarity and production efficiency.

The right candidate combines strong design judgment with excellent production discipline. You should be comfortable moving between advanced Photoshop work, Amazon content, print-production files, social assets and organized final deliverables—with limited supervision.

While the primary focus of this role is e-commerce and print production, video experience is a valuable plus for candidates who bring skill and confidence in shooting and editing product, instructional, and short-form video content.

What You'll Do

  • Produce Amazon listing images, A+ content and other e-commerce creative from approved concepts and briefs
  • Extend established designs across products, formats, sizes and channels
  • Retouch and composite product and lifestyle imagery using advanced Photoshop techniques
  • Generate and refine AI-assisted imagery while maintaining realistic results and exact product fidelity
  • Create and update packaging, labels, instructions, inserts, sell sheets and other print collateral
  • Prepare accurate, organized and production-ready files for print, digital publishing, vendors and internal use
  • Adapt photography, campaign creative and (when applicable) video into social posts, carousels, thumbnails and channel-specific formats
  • Apply brand standards consistently while identifying practical opportunities to improve the work
  • Proofread, preflight and quality-check deliverables for copy, product accuracy, branding and technical requirements
  • Maintain organized working files, linked assets, versions and final exports
  • Help improve templates, workflows, SOPs and repeatable production systems
  • Shoot and edit product demonstrations, instructional videos, interviews and short-form social content (nice to have)

Required Skills and Experience

  • Approximately 4–7 years of professional production design, graphic design or multimedia experience
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating e-commerce, product marketing, print and digital design
  • Advanced Adobe Photoshop skills, including retouching and product compositing
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign
  • Experience preparing professional print-production and digital-delivery files
  • Strong understanding of typography, layout, hierarchy and visual storytelling
  • Experience working within an established brand system
  • Familiarity with generative-image tools and the ability to identify and correct visual inaccuracies
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization and product accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, solve routine production problems and work independently through final delivery
  • Willingness and ability to work on-site in Petaluma five days per week

Nice to Have

  • Amazon Seller Central or A+ Content
  • Packaging, dielines and vendor-ready production files
  • Social scheduling tools and basic content-performance reporting
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe After Effects, Lightroom or Capture One
  • Video examples demonstrating work you personally shot and edited
  • Motion graphics, product photography or advanced lighting and audio
  • Experience in healthcare, caregiving, medical devices, durable medical equipment or adjacent industries

What Success Looks Like

  • You consistently deliver polished, accurate and on-brand work with limited supervision. You know how to extend an approved direction, make confident day-to-day production decisions and raise questions when collaboration will improve the result.
  • You receive constructive critique professionally, ask clarifying questions when needed and apply feedback thoughtfully and consistently to revisions and future work.
  • You maintain organized files and help the team produce more high-quality creative with greater speed, consistency and capability. Video skills are a welcome bonus you may bring to the role.

What We Offer

  • Compensation: $35 - $50 per hour, depending on experience & portfolio
  • Opportunity to grow with the company as we expand
  • Chance to make meaningful impact in a small team environment
  • Direct collaboration with leadership
  • PTO, 401(k), Healthcare benefits
