Job description

Job Summary โ€“ Allergy Medical Assistant or Allergy RN (Avon, CO)
- Assist allergy clinic providers in delivering patient care, including managing allergy shot patient flow, obtaining and documenting patient history and vital signs, and performing assigned clinical procedures.
- Administer allergy treatments (such as allergy injections), monitor patients for reactions, and provide immediate intervention in case of adverse responses.
- Oversee daily patient flow to optimize care, safety, and satisfaction, ensuring required observation periods post-injection are maintained.
- Educate patients regarding allergy treatment plans to support informed healthcare choices and promote optimal wellness.
- Perform immunotherapy vial mixing and other specialized procedures as directed by providers.
- Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to coordinate patient care, communicate clinical findings, and maintain accurate EHR documentation.
- Maintain cleanliness, stock, and function of exam rooms and equipment, especially immunotherapy supplies.
- Follow HIPAA and OSHA regulations; uphold patient safety and confidentiality at all times.
- Demonstrate teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- May supervise or delegate to other clinical support staff as appropriate; must have current Colorado RN license (or compact state equivalent) and BLS certification.
