Director Advanced Practice Remote information

What is a director advanced practice remote?

A Director Advanced Practice Remote is a healthcare leader responsible for overseeing advanced practice providers (such as nurse practitioners and physician assistants) and their operations, but works remotely rather than on-site. This role involves managing teams, developing clinical protocols, ensuring compliance, and supporting professional development, all through virtual means. The Director collaborates with other healthcare administrators and clinicians to ensure quality patient care and efficient workflow, leveraging technology to stay connected with staff and operations. Remote directors use various digital tools to maintain communication, monitor performance, and implement best practices across dispersed teams.

How does a director advanced practice remote typically collaborate with clinical teams and ensure effective leadership across locations?

As a remote Director of Advanced Practice, you will regularly coordinate with advanced practice providers, physicians, and administrative staff through virtual meetings, secure messaging, and digital project management tools. Effective communication and proactive relationship-building are key, as you must oversee quality of care, compliance, and professional development across geographically dispersed teams. You will also lead initiatives to standardize clinical protocols and support staff, often conducting virtual training sessions and performance reviews. Staying organized and adaptable are essential to foster a cohesive and high-performing team environment despite the physical distance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a director advanced practice remote, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Director Advanced Practice Remote, you need advanced clinical expertise, leadership experience in managing advanced practice providers (APPs), and typically a master's or doctoral degree in nursing or a related field with appropriate state licensure. Familiarity with telehealth platforms, electronic medical records (EMRs), and healthcare compliance systems is essential. Outstanding communication, strategic thinking, and the ability to motivate remote teams are crucial soft skills. These competencies ensure effective oversight, high-quality patient care, and alignment with organizational goals in a virtual healthcare environment.

Job Description & Requirements
Primary Care, Reimagined | Wisconsin Licensed FM or IM | 100% Remote
StartDate: ASAP Pay Rate: $275000.00 - $330000.00

Practice Primary Careโ€”Not Paperwork

This is not your typical telehealth position. Instead, you'll practice true longitudinal primary care as a direct extension of one of the nation's leading healthcare systems. You'll care for an established panel of patients while building lasting relationships in an innovative virtual care model.

If you've ever wondered what primary care could look like with fewer administrative burdens and more meaningful patient care, this may be the opportunity you've been waiting for.

Why This Opportunity Stands Apart

This advanced AI platform, fully integrated with Epic, prepares approximately 85โ€“90% of each patient visit before you ever log inโ€”organizing medical history, identifying care gaps, and summarizing the reason for the visit. Combined with built-in scribe technology, you'll spend less time documenting and more time focused on delivering exceptional patient care.

Patients receive care through the healthcare system they already know and trust, allowing you to provide continuity of care rather than one-time virtual visits.

Position Highlights

  • Practice as a direct extension of the nation's leading healthcare providers
  • 100% virtual longitudinal primary care
  • Established patient panel with continuity of care
  • AI-assisted chart preparation and virtual scribe support
  • Epic-integrated workflow
  • No call
  • Flexible weekday, weekend, or overnight scheduling options
  • 36 clinical hours per week (full-time)
  • Remote practice without sacrificing clinical quality or patient relationships

Compensation

  • $300k+ earning potential
  • Weekend schedule offers increased compensation
  • Comprehensive benefits package

Qualifications

  • Board-Certified Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician
  • Minimum one year of outpatient primary care experience
  • Active and unrestricted Wisconsin medical license (or eligible through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact)
  • Epic experience strongly preferred
  • Passion for innovation, technology, and relationship-based primary care
