Job description

Human Resources Director | FlexScreen/RiteScreen | Remote (Northeast US)

There's a kind of HR leader who runs programs. And there's the kind who runs the function — who owns total rewards like a P&L, treats payroll accuracy as sacred, and sits with executives shaping where the company goes next. We're hiring the second kind.

FlexScreen/RiteScreen is the largest independent screen manufacturer in the United States — nine facilities, seven states, and a growth trajectory that has us hiring someone every single day of the year. The HR function at the center of that needs a Director with genuine depth in benefits, payroll, and strategy — not one of the three, all three.

The Mandate

  • Own total rewards. Benefits plan design, broker and carrier relationships, open enrollment across all locations, and the compliance spine underneath it — ERISA, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA. You'll build programs that compete for talent and defend the budget doing it.
  • Govern payroll. Multi-state payroll oversight through ADP — controls, tax compliance, audit discipline, and the standard that every employee, at every plant, is paid accurately every time. You'll be the escalation point and the architect.
  • Own the system. The HRIS is yours — administration, optimization, enhancements, and the integrity and security of every employee record in it, through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Shape strategy. Workforce planning, compensation philosophy, policy architecture, and organizational design — partnering directly with the CHRO and executive leadership of a company actively growing and integrating.
  • Lead leaders. HR Managers across our sites look to this seat for direction, consistency, and development. You'll set the standard they carry onto their plant floors.
  • Master the map. Seven states of employment law — California included — and the judgment to keep a multi-state manufacturer clean in all of them.

Who Thrives Here

A builder with 10+ years of progressive HR depth and real leadership scars — someone who's run open enrollment and answered to a board, negotiated a renewal and coached a struggling plant HRM in the same week. You've supported organizations of 500+ employees across multiple shifts, and manufacturing or hourly-workforce experience means you'll recognize our world on day one. ADP Workforce Now fluency strongly preferred. SPHR, SHRM-SCP, CEBS, or CPP respected.

Why This Seat

Because it's the real thing: a Director role with genuine ownership, direct executive partnership, and a company in motion — growing, acquiring, and investing in its people function while others cut theirs. Fully remote, Northeast US, with roughly 30% travel across our nine facilities. Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, 401(k), and the chance to build the HR function this company's next chapter runs on.

If you've been the strategic depth behind someone else's title long enough — this is the seat where it's yours.

We provide equal employment opportunities to all applicants without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, or any other protected characteristic in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
