What is a director accountability?

Director Accountability refers to the obligations and responsibilities a company director holds to ensure the organization is managed ethically, legally, and in the best interests of stakeholders. These responsibilities include overseeing the organization’s strategy, compliance with laws and regulations, risk management, and ensuring transparent reporting. Directors are also accountable for making decisions that align with the company’s mission and for addressing any misconduct or conflicts of interest within the board or management team.

Outstanding communication, ethical judgment, and problem-solving skills help build trust and effectively drive accountability initiatives across departments.
