SHORT DESCRIPTION / JOB SUMMARY

The Pediatric Infectious Disease Division in the Department of Pediatrics at Cooper University Hospital is seeking a full-time faculty physician to join an established two parttime physician division. This position supports the academic, clinical, and educational missions of the hospital by providing expert consultative and direct care for pediatric patients with infectious disease conditions, contributing to a growing program at a community-based academic medical center.

Practice Highlights:

  • Join an established two parttime physician Pediatric Infectious Disease division with strong institutional support for growth
  • Active inpatient consultation service and outpatient ID clinic
  • Collaboration opportunities with Cooper Medical School of Rowan University and access to medical student, and resident teaching
  • Close partnership with the Pediatric Hospitalists, Pediatric Hematology, Neonatology, the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), and Hospital Epidemiology/Infection Control and the Southern New Jersey

UNIT OVERVIEW

The Pediatric Infectious Disease Division at Cooper Hospital provides comprehensive consultative and direct care for children across the full spectrum of infectious disease from common complex infections to rare and emerging pathogens. Our team serves as a critical resource to inpatient medical and surgical services, the PICU, and the NICU, while also managing a robust outpatient practice including HIV care, and long-term antibiotic management.

As part of a community-based academic medical center, our physicians enjoy a collegial, high-impact environment where each provider meaningfully shapes the direction of the program. We are committed to evidence-based care, antimicrobial stewardship, and serving a diverse patient population throughout the region.

  • Participation in a shared weekday, weekend/holiday call schedule with division partners
