Job description

Serves as support person, providing quality customer service to Consumer/Small Business and loan applicants as an integral part of the Division's strategy of deposit development and loan growth. Performs administrative/secretarial duties necessary to direct in the preparation of Consumer/Small Business loan documentation and paperwork. Complies with all WTB credit policies and procedures; controls the quality of new credit through adherence to all WTB credit policies and procedures and maintains awareness of sales/referral goals. Provides administrative, project and technical support to the entire Credit Resource Center.

Essential Functions

  • Be knowledgeable of all WTB consumer/Small Business loan and competitor products, services and rates.
  • Solve problems in a timely and accurate manner, handling urgent and confidential matters in a mature, professional manner to ensure continued goodwill.
  • Provide RMs with prompt, timely, and accurate information as needed to support client relationships and the overall goals of the department and bank.
  • Processes high volume of email/phone inquiries on a daily basis, answering and directing incoming questions for appropriate assistance.
  • Delivers quality service to meet customer needs.
  • Prepares and processes loan documentation through loan delivery system for Consumer/Small Business Loan Officers and Underwriters.
  • May manage various monthly department reports as assigned. Prepare reports, memorandums and correspondence as requested.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
  • Responds appropriately and professionally to customer problems, disagreements, questions and objections. Resolves complaints and errors or refer to appropriate department or person for resolution.
  • Evaluates and routes incoming mail.
  • Organizes and prioritizes daily workflow in order of importance.
  • Works within generally established guidelines known as "best practices" which defines the most efficient way to conduct specific processes.
  • Attends classes/seminars and read literature to maintain a working knowledge of legal, regulatory and environmental issues relevant to consumer/Small Business lending.

 Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of business unit’s functional areas, such as documentation and processing requirements within corporate lending, commercial/residential real estate lending, or private banking. Specific knowledge of various documentation (Deeds of Trust, Mortgages, Notes, Guarantees, etc.) may also be required.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory impacts and requirements for Consumer and Small Business Lending
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated quality service skills, with flexibility and ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
  • Accurate keyboarding skills and extensive knowledge of various PC based software programs to include the Microsoft Office Suite and department specific software.
  • Must have an extensive knowledge of the Loan and Deposit System. Must have good organizational and time management skill and manage workflow and time.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to win confidence of internal customers and earn respect of officers and support staff members.
  • Interaction with others to achieve a common goal.
  • Good knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Basic knowledge of loan documentation and Consumer/Small Business regulatory compliance issues.
  • Ability to independently manage specific processes.
  • Perform compliance and risk management duties as required or assigned.
  • Regular, reliable attendance is required.

Compensation:

Consumer Loan Processor I: $18.99 - $28.52 per hour
Consumer Loan Processor II: $20.67 - $31.03 per hour

The compensation range represents the low and high end of the base compensation range for this position located in Spokane, WA. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
