Job description

Direct Support Professional (FT) - Fluency in American Sign Language.
Position: Direct Support Professional Full time-Fluent in American Sign Language.
Status: Full-Time.
Who Is a Direct Support Professional?:
A supportive, "hands-on" person who assists Deaf and/or Deaf-Blind Adults with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities. Assistance includes Home-based assistance with personal care, cleaning, cooking, laundry, and medication administration. Frequent overnight monitoring required and additional cleaning duties as assigned. Other responsibilities as identified in an annual Individual Plan (IP) meeting.
Expectations:
  • Excellent time management skills, well organized, team player, positive attitude, patient and respectful.
  • Annual physical and annual flu vaccination required.

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma.
  • Relevant experience is a plus.
  • Valid MD Driverโ€™s License with 2 points or less.
  • Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL).
