Job description

Overview
Responsible for leading field sales with an assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities. Sets sales targets, provides guidance and support to team members, and ensures that sales objectives are met. Develops and delivers sales bids, presentations, and proposals and conducts product demonstrations. Develops medium to long-term sales plans and prepares strategies to protect, grow, and diversify the relationship with targeted customers. Focuses on driving sales growth and maximizing revenue through effective management of field sales teams. Applies knowledge of the Field Sales Management area to independently execute tasks and manage processes/project components. May provide guidance to team members on best practices to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and achievement of functional and organizational standards.
Responsibilities
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Manage, motivate, and develop a team of employees in order to increase sales, daily productivity and improve business performance
  • Conduct 'work-withs/route rides' with employees to develop their selling and customer service skills
  • Work proactively with customers to understand business needs and develop strong relationships
  • Maintain process improvement to further enhance productivity of PepsiCo's selling and delivery model
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members to ensure orders are submitted, delivered, and merchandised according to plan
  • Activate local and national marketplace initiatives and promotions to build brand development and maximize brand performance
  • Hold regular weekly meetings with cross functional teams, including Territory Sales Representatives and Merchandisers to discuss sales and territory strategies
  • Set productivity and service targets and ensure proper resource allocation between accounts
  • Oversee the Merchandising Function, including ensuring proper coverage of full-time Merchandisers in their designated account territories
  • As needed, assist Territory Sales Representatives or Merchandising Team Leads with ad hoc tasks, including but not limited to coaching, intermittent daily routing, and/or customer onboarding

Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation range for this position is between $73,400 - $122,850.
  • Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process.
  • Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 15% of annual salary paid out quarterly.
  • Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.

Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A minimum of 2 years managing frontline employees or demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience

  • This position is limited to persons with indefinite right to work in the United States
  • Safe driving record strongly preferred
  • At least 1 year of sales experience

  • Consumer packaged goods in a direct store delivery environment: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Customer relationship management experience (preferred)
  • Previous people management experience or demonstrated leadership capabilities
