Job description

Job Description

We are looking for candidates that are interesting in working overnights.

Candidates must have open availability overnights Monday-Sunday and should be willing to work 32-36 hours per week.
DUTIES

  • Provide friendly and courteous service to customers

  • Regular, reliable attendance is an essential function of the job.

  • Stock, straighten and rotate product on shelves in Dairy, Frozen, Non-Foods., and Grocery Departments.

  • Process incoming product from our warehouse and direct store delivery vendors

  • Read and understand shelf tags

  • Sort damaged product for credit

  • Operate a hand jack, power lift and cardboard baler

  • Follow company safety guidelines when using cutters, power lifts, and baler

  • Maintain cleanliness of shelves, displays, backroom, refrigerated cases, cooler and freezer

  • Maintain company productivity standards

  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of store management


TRAINING

  • Training will be provided at store level.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Bending

  • Stooping

  • Able to stock 50 cases per hour

  • Able to work in a cold environment (-10 to 40 degrees)

  • Able to push loaded two wheeler (average 100-120 pounds)

  • Able to pull a loaded pallet (up to 700 pounds)

  • Able to pull loaded stock truck

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Working on feet entire shift (4-8hours)

Additional Requirements - Internal Candidates:

  • Store/Facility Teammates: minimum of six months employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Store Support Center Teammates:minimum of one year employment with Schnucks preferred.
  • Must be in good standing (not on a performance improvement plan or active discipline).
  • If invited for an interview, must have manager approval based on performance.
