Job description

Manager, Direct Mail & Growth Channels

This is a hybrid position to the NYC HelloFresh Headquarters

The Manager, Direct Mail & Growth Channels (Factor US) is responsible for the execution, optimization, and day-to-day management of Factor's direct mail program - our biggest offline channel - while also supporting growth planning and performance management across select emerging channels in our mix. This role is for a performance marketer who is grounded in direct mail but thinks and operates across channels, brings structured analytical thinking wherever they work, and is energized by variety in their portfolio.

You will...

  • Execute and optimize direct mail campaigns in support of Factor's new customer acquisition strategy, from segmentation and creative briefing through production and analysis.
  • Manage spend allocation within approved budgets, continuously seeking opportunities to improve efficiency and campaign ROI.
  • Partner with creative and print agency partners to manage campaign production timelines, briefs, and quality standards.
  • Support growth planning and performance tracking for select non-DM channels (e.g. Podcast, Direct Sales) in partnership with respective channel leads - bringing analytical structure and executional support where it adds the most value.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, creative, and analytics to ensure campaigns are aligned with broader marketing objectives.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors for Direct Mail to ensure timely and cost-effective execution.
  • Utilize data-driven insights to continuously optimize performance across your channel portfolio, driving improvements in response rates, conversion rates, and ROI.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis on campaign performance, including key metrics and actionable recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee the direct mail marketing calendar, ensuring timely execution and coordination with other marketing channels.
  • Support Finance and Legal processes including forecasting inputs, invoice approvals, and contract documentation.

You are...

  • Experienced: You have 4-6 years of performance marketing experience, with direct mail as your primary channel and demonstrated hands-on work across at least one or two additional digital channels.
  • A multi-channel thinker: You understand how different direct response channels work - their cost structures, measurement approaches, and performance levers - and you can ramp on a new channel quickly without needing to be a pre-existing expert in it.
  • Analytical: You think analytically about campaign performance and proactively identify optimization opportunities. You are proficient in data analysis tools such as Excel or Google Sheets to derive actionable insights from campaign data.
  • A clear communicator: You communicate clearly with cross-functional partners, channel leads, and agency contacts to keep campaigns on track and aligned.
  • Detail-oriented: You possess strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality across all aspects of campaign execution.
  • Collaborative: You thrive in a team environment and build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Results-driven: You are motivated by measurable outcomes and continuously look to improve campaign performance across your portfolio.
  • Tech-forward: You actively look for ways to use AI and automation to work smarter - whether in drafting creative briefs, building reports, or analyzing performance.

At a minimum, you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience managing direct mail campaigns from concept to execution.
  • Hands-on experience in at least one or two performance marketing channels beyond direct mail.
  • Familiarity with digital channel fundamentals - including how to read performance data, identify optimization levers, and work effectively with channel leads across different formats.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with direct mail best practices including segmentation, creative testing, and response tracking.
  • Fluency in growth marketing KPIs such as CAC, CPA, CPM, CVR, and LTV.
  • Familiarity with campaign budgeting and spend tracking; comfort working within established financial frameworks.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini) to accelerate campaign workflows - including brief writing, performance summarization, audience hypothesis development, and reporting.

You'll get...

  • 401k with company match that vest immediately upon participation, and company equity plan based on role
  • Generous PTO, including sabbatical, and parental leave of up to 16 weeks
  • Comprehensive health and wellness benefits with options at $0 monthly, effective first day of employment
  • Tuition reimbursement for continuing education (upon 2 years of service)
  • Up to 85% discount on subscriptions to HelloFresh meal plans (HelloFresh, Green Chef, Everyplate, and Factor_)
  • Access to 7 different Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) including those for BIPOC, women, veterans, parents, and LGBTQ+
  • Inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company that is disrupting the traditional food supply chain

This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust, modify, or reassign work tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet changing business needs, operational requirements, or other factors.
