Job Description:
Under close supervision of the Lead and/or Production Supervisor, Assembler C is responsible for performing simple and repetitive job assignments involving both magnetic and electromechanical assembly work. Tasks range from simple to semi-complex and are performed in accordance with work order instructions, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process specifications.
Essential Functions:
Note: Due to varying production requirements at the time of hire, this position may require soldering skills to military specifications or ANSI-J-STD-001, in addition to mechanical/assembly skills, or may require only mechanical/assembly skills. This will be determined by the Manager/Supervisor based on production needs.
  • Assemble electromechanical parts and perform inner chassis wiring connections using various tools.
  • Assemble magnetic units through all stages of the process, from core and coil assembly to final assembly.
  • Build wood crates and pallets as needed.
  • Perform simple to semi-complex cable assembly per shop order instructions and engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of standard hardware installation sequence.
  • Read hardware descriptions on engineering BOMs and identify hardware characteristics.
  • Communicate issues, concerns, and questions to supervisors, managers, and support groups, including Manufacturing Engineering, Planning, Quality, and Inspection.
  • Comply with company safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure accurate time charging for all work performed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Pass soldering tests and obtain ANSI-J-STD-001 certification as required

Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Minimum 2-5 years 'experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware as stated above, preferably to military requirements and specifications.
  • Able to pass soldering test and be certified ANSI-J-STD-001 and/or IPC610 as required.
  • Must have good knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Must possess good to excellent assembly blueprint reading skills.
  • Must be able to read and understand both written and verbal instructions in English.
  • Must have good understanding of hardware requirements.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California is $47,500- $88,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
