These teachers are expected to model Christian values and support the mission of Catholic education.

Job description

Job Summary
Our temporary substitute teachers respect Catholic values and aid students in Christian formation by exemplifying Catholic living, both in and out of the classroom. This person is hired on a temporary basis to provide continuity in the classroom in the event a contracted teacher is unavailable. Your responsibilities include meeting individual student needs and creating the best possible learning environment. Mindful of the importance of student growth and achievement the substitute teacher is flexible to meet each student where they are and monitor progress appropriately. Substitute teachers are to implement the school mission and philosophy, to follow the policies of the Diocese of Santa Rosa and in the staff and parent handbooks of the School, and adhere to the directives set by the school administration.
Substitute Teachers are directly recruited, onboarded, and hired by a specific school. The Diocese does not have a centralized clearing house for school employees. Ranges for these positions are based on the specific school and the local public school district in which the Catholic school is located. The pool is intended to be a resource for our Principals if they are interested and in need of applicants.
