Job description

Responsibilities

Responsible for communications between the nursing units and the Food Service Department in regard to patient menus, diet changes, and general patient services.  Reads patient menus to patients twice daily. Edits patient selections to meet restrictions associated with diet orders. Organizes and manages diet orders in a timely and effective manner. Develops menu tallies of special requests.  Must be familiar with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal patient care and satisfaction. Assembles trays for patients and deliver meal trays to patient rooms and nursing units. Assigned to highest priority patient care areas. Occasionally, may also prepare salads, desserts, beverages and other miscellaneous food items. Assists the supervisors/leads in the daily operation of the patient services program. Assists with customer service recovery initiatives. Responsible for onboarding and training new associates.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • One (1) year of healthcare food service experience. 
  • Work Hours (EX:7AM-7PM):6:30am-6:30pmWeekend Requirements:Yes- Rotating BasisOn-Call Requirements:NoEmployment Type: FULL_TIME
