Job description

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Pediatric Nurse Practitioner, you will join our established pediatric team with Dignity Health Medical Group Pediatrics - St. Joseph’s in Phoenix. This team has provided compassionate pediatric care to our community for over 55 years.  

In this role, you will provide comprehensive pediatric care in our 100% outpatient clinic, including well-child check-ups, developmental tracking, immunizations, and the treatment of common seasonal and acute illnesses. The clinic cares for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. 

To be successful in this role, you must possess strong clinical expertise in pediatric health and the ability to collaborate effectively within a physician-led team environment. You must also be highly organized, capable of managing an established patient panel efficiently, and committed to maintaining the high standard of compassionate, family-centered care that our practice is known for.

  • Volume: 15-22 patients per day
  • Work shift: 5 days
  • Clinic 4.5 days, Admin half day 
  • No call, no holidays

Job Requirements

Required

  • Minimum 1 year of pediatric provider experience
  • Graduate of an accredited program with a Master's degree in Nursing
  • Active or eligible license in the state of AZ
  • Compact state or Arizona RN license
  • Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse license
  • National Certificate as a nurse practitioner in area of specialty under AZ regulations
  • Valid DEA registration
  • BLS certification required

Hello humankindness Dignity Health Medical Group is the employed physician group of Dignity Health Arizona. Dignity Health Medical Group (DHMG) employs approximately 200 providers and 500 support staff that cover a wide variety of specialties. The medical group has had tremendous success over the past few years and now provides more than 73 subspecialty services. The physicians provide clinical services in their areas of specialty and many serve in pivotal academic, research and leadership roles. DHMG is also heavily involved in preparing tomorrow's healthcare providers. DHMG has 84 medical school students and approximately 200 residents and fellows throughout the 25 academic programs. Clinical services are complemented with translational and bench research to augment medical education for residents and students. The mission of Dignity Health Medical Group is consistent with Dignity Health's mission and St. Joseph's guiding principles with a focus on innovative clinical care and the pursuit of excellence through scholarly activities.
