Success depends on skills, efficiency, and access to digital tools like scanners and editing software, often requiring a reliable internet connection and experience in digital workflows.

AspectDigitizingData Entry Clerk

While both roles involve working with digital information, digitizing is more technical and specialized, whereas data entry is more administrative and routine.

What jobs make $3,000 a month without a degree?

In digitizing roles, such as data entry or document digitization, workers can earn around $3,000 monthly with minimal formal education by developing skills in software tools like OCR and image editing. These jobs often require attention to detail, basic technical skills, and sometimes freelance or remote work arrangements, allowing for flexible schedules and self-paced learning.

In digitizing roles, high-paying positions such as freelance digital archivists or specialized data conversion specialists can earn around $4,000 weekly, especially with advanced skills and experience. What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Digitizing Specialist, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Digitizing Specialist, you need a strong understanding of design principles, attention to detail, and familiarity with embroidery or graphic design processes, often supported by relevant training or experience. Proficiency with digitizing software such as Wilcom, Pulse, or Adobe Illustrator, and knowledge of various embroidery machine formats is typically required. Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and adaptability help you manage client expectations and troubleshoot design issues. These skills ensure high-quality digital conversions, efficient workflow, and client satisfaction in a fast-paced production environment.

What are some common challenges faced by digitizers when converting physical documents or designs into digital formats?

Digitizers often encounter challenges such as dealing with poor-quality originals, which can make accurate digital reproduction difficult. Interpreting complex or faded details, managing large volumes of documents under tight deadlines, and ensuring data accuracy during manual entry are common hurdles. Additionally, digitizers must stay updated on the latest scanning and software technologies to maintain efficiency and meet evolving industry standards. Collaboration with quality control teams and clear communication with clients are essential to address any ambiguities and ensure high-quality results.

What is digitizing in the context of jobs?

Digitizing refers to the process of converting information, images, or designs into a digital format that can be used by computers or digital equipment. In industries like embroidery, digitizing involves creating a digital embroidery file from a graphic or logo, which embroidery machines can then stitch onto fabric. Digitizing can also apply to document management, where physical documents are scanned and converted into digital files for easier storage, access, and sharing. This process improves efficiency and enables better data management across various sectors.

Job description

Consulting Associate, Digital Product

Digital Foundry โ€” Tiburon, California

About Digital Foundry

For over 30 years, Digital Foundry has been a trusted partner to Fortune 500 and Global 2000 companies as well as large government and public sector organizations โ€” helping them envision, design, and build cutting-edge digital products. Based in Tiburon, California โ€” just a short drive or ferry ride from San Francisco โ€” our team specializes in creating high-impact custom software solutions that drive business transformation.

We work across industries, delivering web and mobile applications, AI-powered platforms, connected physical-AI solutions, and enterprise-grade digital ecosystems. From strategy to execution, we help clients navigate complex challenges and bring their most ambitious digital initiatives to life.

Our approach goes beyond just development โ€” we offer a full suite of consulting services that bridge product strategy, experience design, and engineering execution. Whether it's defining a product roadmap, designing seamless user experiences, or modernizing legacy systems, we bring deep expertise and a collaborative, high-touch approach to every engagement.

That's where you come in.

About the Role

We're seeking a Consulting Associate, Digital Product to help deliver successful client engagements alongside our senior engagement leads. You'll be the hands-on delivery partner on major enterprise and public-sector programs โ€” capturing requirements, keeping cross-functional teams moving, and producing the polished, high-value outputs our clients expect.

This is a growth role. You'll start by owning the day-to-day delivery mechanics of an engagement, and โ€” with mentorship from some of our most experienced consultants โ€” develop over time toward leading delivery on a major account. It's the ideal path for someone early in their consulting career who wants to become a well-rounded digital product professional: someone who not only manages a backlog, but learns to shape what gets built, bring clients along, and use modern AI tooling to raise the quality and speed of everything we deliver.

If you have a passion for digital products, enjoy working shoulder-to-shoulder with cross-functional teams, and want to grow into a consulting leader, we'd love to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with clients and senior engagement leads to gather, document, and refine needs and business requirements into clear, build-ready direction
  • Own the day-to-day delivery mechanics of an engagement: backlog hygiene, scope tracking, sprint prep, and publishable-quality deliverables
  • Help keep cross-functional Agile teams (designers, developers, business leads) aligned and moving
  • Support and maintain product roadmaps, backlogs, and requirements
  • Build and use AI-augmented delivery workflows โ€” applying tools like Copilot, Gemini, Claudeย and agent-based approaches to accelerate requirements, documentation, and prototyping
  • Prepare clear, executive-level presentations and documentation that communicate progress and recommendations
  • Support the design and facilitation of product strategy and design workshops, growing toward leading them yourself
  • Contribute to Digital Foundry's consulting practice through process improvement and knowledge sharing
You Are
  • A Clear Communicator โ€” You can explain complex ideas simply, in writing and in the room, and adapt to your audience.
  • AI-Native โ€” You already use AI tools in your daily work and are eager to design smarter, faster ways of delivering.
  • Organized and Rigorous โ€” You keep the details straight, treat every deliverable as a demo moment, and don't let things slip.
  • A Fast Learner โ€” You pick up new domains, tools, and technical concepts quickly enough to hold an intelligent conversation about them.
  • Collaborative โ€” You work well with diverse teams and raise the standard around you.
  • Agile-Minded โ€” You understand Agile and Scrum and how to keep projects moving efficiently.
Why Join Digital Foundry?
  • A Real Growth Path โ€” Start alongside our most experienced consultants and develop toward leading delivery on a major account, with mentorship built in
  • Work at the Frontier of AI-Powered Delivery โ€” Help define how modern consulting gets done
  • Strong Benefits โ€” Medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) with employer match
  • Work-Life Balance โ€” Up to three weeks of PTO in your first year
  • Innovative, Collaborative Culture โ€” Join a team that values creativity, problem-solving, and growth
  • Exciting Client Work โ€” Contribute to impactful projects with Fortune 500 and major public-sector clients
Compensation

Compensation at Digital Foundry varies based on factors such as location, role, skills, experience, and market conditions. In compliance with California's pay transparency laws, Digital Foundry provides a reasonable target base salary range for this role of $70,000 โ€“ $90,000 per year. Total compensation may also include performance-based bonuses, benefits, and other incentives.

Location & Work Environment

This is a 5-day a week, on-site role based in our Tiburon, CA office โ€” a short commute from San Francisco via ferry or car โ€” with regular travel to client sites as engagements require. We believe collaboration and innovation thrive in a dynamic, in-person environment.

Thank you for your interest in Digital Foundry. We look forward to hearing from you!
