  • Generate at least 50,000 digital actions across organizational advocacy campaigns through Quorum.
  • Establish partnerships with at least twelve digital influencers to amplify campaign messaging.
Major Responsibilities
  • Support the development and manage the execution of the organization's digital program with the Executive Director, Chief Advocacy Officer, Chief Narrative Officer, Director of Marketing & Communications, and communications team.
  • Lead the design vision and execution of the organization's website and all campaign microsites, ensuring a sleek, sophisticated, and cutting-edge visual aesthetic; strong UX and accessibility standards; and clear narrative alignment across all digital properties.
  • Strong graphic design skills, with the ability to apply organizational branding consistently across traditional campaign materials and digital platforms, and translate those assets into cohesive microsites and web-based advocacy tools.
  • Establish and maintain high-quality visual and design standards across all digital outputs, including websites, campaign pages, social media assets, email templates, and advocacy materials, ensuring consistency with organizational brand and values.
  • Manage digital organizing tools, helping program staff to drive digital actions in support of their campaigns.
  • Manage social media efforts, working alongside others on the communications team to create, edit, publish, and share compelling content daily (e.g. original text, graphics, videos, and news); engaging with followers, partners, and other content; and responding to messages.
  • Manage the email program to appropriately convey the organization's story and work to its supporters in service of education, advocacy, and fundraising efforts.
  • Manage SEO and Google Ads to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Track and evaluate the efficacy of the digital program, recommending and implementing adjustments to strategy based on results.
  • Stay up to date with current technologies and trends in digital organizing to recommend and implement new approaches.

This role requires a motivated self-starter who takes initiative unprompted, consistently delivers high-quality work, is an excellent project manager, is a proactive and innovative problem-solver, appreciates direct feedback, and has the following:

  • Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and copyediting skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of core digital tools and platforms, including Canva, Mailchimp, Quorum, Adobe Suite, Squarespace, and comparable software.
  • Experience applying UX, accessibility, and inclusive design best practices to create culturally relevant digital campaigns, informed by meaningful collaboration with racially and economically diverse people, communities, and organizations.
  • Experience in digital organizing, digital communications, or design-led advocacy work, with increasing ownership over digital strategy and execution.
  • Experience using digital metrics and analytics tools, including Google Analytics, social media insights, email analytics, A/B testing, to make data-driven decisions and optimize digital strategies.
  • Commitment to the organization's mission as well as a working understanding of the prison industry, or a strong interest in learning.
