What You Will Do

  • The candidate will work closely with a Digital Technology team to deliver real results in the areas of business, technology, and process/project management.
  • The candidate will be responsible for delivering successful digital technology solutions for business-critical projects in one of the following digital function areas:
  • Support and improve digital tools, systems, and engineering workflows
  • Develop or enhance software, data pipelines, and cloud-based applications
  • Assist with system administration, infrastructure operations, and high-performance computing environments
  • Drive automation and process optimization across digital initiatives
  • Contribute to enterprise architecture, data analysis, and integration work
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, modern technology solutions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must be pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree program in Aerospace engineering, Computer Engineering/Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems or other Information Technology concentration and actively enrolled through completion of the internship.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
  • Experience with Python, Java, C#, or other programming languages
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Interest in digital transformation, enterprise architecture, cloud computing, or workflow automation
  • Experience with data pipelines, visualization tools, or machine learning concepts
  • Exposure to engineering environments or tools (CAD, DevOps pipelines, High-Performance Computing, etc.)
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to work on a hybrid schedule at an RTX location
  • Minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
