Join Our Team as a Digital Loan Officer at IH Mississippi Valley Credit Union!
Are you someone who enjoys helping people find financial solutions while building lasting relationships? IHMVCU is seeking a Digital Loan Officer to join our Remote Financial Center team in a call-center environment. In this role, you will connect with existing and prospective members through phone, email, text, and chat to assist with lending, new accounts, and other financial needs. The ideal candidate is confident discussing financial products, comfortable working toward individual and team goals, and committed to providing timely, personalized service through every interaction.
This role is located at our beautiful headquarters located on River Drive in Moline, IL. This facility includes a comfortable office environment with an on-site gym facility.
What will you do as a Digital Loan Officer?
  • Build strong member relationships by identifying needs, resolving concerns, and recommending appropriate financial solutions.
  • Interview members, review credit information, and complete consumer loan applications through phone, email, chat, and online channels.
  • Guide members toward the lending solution that best fits their needs before submitting applications to Underwriting, providing timely follow-up throughout the process.
  • Open memberships, deposit accounts, CDs, IRAs, and commercial accounts while gathering required documentation and following established procedures.
  • Make sound decisions within established authority regarding fee refunds, new accounts, debit card privileges, and other account needs.
  • Recommend credit union products and digital commercial services while working toward individual and departmental production and sales goals.
  • Maintain knowledge of products, services, promotions, policies, and procedures while protecting member information and meeting all security, verification, and compliance requirements.
  • Participate in training, meetings, and projects while actively pursuing continued learning and professional development.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One or more years of financial lending experience or call-center experience in a sales-focused environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across phone and digital channels.
  • A professional and positive approach, including the ability to manage challenging conversations effectively.
  • A sense of urgency when responding to members while maintaining strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple responsibilities.
  • Sound judgment and the ability to recommend solutions that support both the member and the credit union.
  • A collaborative, goal-oriented attitude and the ability to adapt positively to change.
