Northrop Grumman is seeking aSystems Engineer - Level 7 Consultant, Mission Modeling Simulation,located in Chandler, AZ. You will serve as an enterpriselevel technical authority for modeling, simulation, and analysis ofmissile and interceptor systems. In this highly senior role, you will define Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) strategy, lead crossprogram mission and campaign analyses, and provide independent technical assessments that guide portfoliolevel decisions, investment strategies, and future capability development. You will represent the organization as a recognized expert to customers and external stakeholders and will shape the evolution of our mission engineering and MS&A capabilities.

This position is 100% on site in Chandler, AZ (strongly preferred). Remote candidates may also be considered

You will work with various engineering disciplines (systems, GNC, seeker/sensor, software, mission, integration & test, etc.) and business development to:

  • Define and leadenterpriselevel MS&A strategy, including digital engineering and modelbased approaches across multiple programs and product lines

  • Lead crossprogrammission engineering and campaignlevel operations analysesto inform capability roadmaps and investment decisions

  • Provideindependent technical assessments, red/blue teaming, and risk evaluations of architectures, requirements, and operational concepts

  • Represent the organization as atechnical authorityin customer engagements, gate reviews, and external technical forums, shaping customer requirements and CONOPS through analysisbacked insights

  • Driveinnovation in MS&A tools, frameworks, and methodologies, including advanced visualization, realtime simulation, and digital twin implementations

  • Sponsor and overseecollaborationswith other disciplines and external partners (government labs, universities, industry) in advanced MS&A and mission analysis

  • Build and sustaincommunities of practice, standards, and trainingfor MS&A; mentor multiple teams and develop succession plans for technical leadership

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship is required

  • Active US Government Secret security clearance

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline (Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering; Physics; Applied Mathematics; Computer Science) and16 yearsof related experience in systems engineering, modeling and simulation, or operations analysis; or master's degree and14 years; or Ph.D. and12 years

  • Recognized subjectmatter expertise inmissionlevel operations analysis, campaignlevel modeling, and systemofsystems simulation

  • Demonstrated impact onenterpriselevel or portfoliolevel decisionsthrough MS&A (architecture trades, capability roadmaps, investment choices)

  • Extensive experience providingindependent technical assessmentsand representing programs in customer technical reviews and senior leadership briefings

  • Proven ability tolead and mentor multiple teams, establish standards and best practices, and drive adoption of advanced modeling and digital engineering techniques

  • Strong executivelevel communication skills and the ability to convey complex technical concepts to nontechnical decisionmakers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to obtain and maintainTop Secret and/or Special Access Program (SAP) access; active TS/SAP is highly preferred

  • Broad and deep experience across multiple domains, such as:

  • Missile/interceptorguidance, navigation, and control (GNC)

  • RF or EO/IRseeker/sensor modeling

  • Integrated air defense systems (IADS)or threat modeling

  • Electronic attack, electronic protection, and countermeasuresmodeling

  • Survivability, lethality, and vulnerability analysis at the weapon or mission level

  • Recognition as atechnical authorityvia publications, external working groups, or customer acknowledgment

  • Experience definingenterpriselevel MS&A strategies, standards, and capability roadmapsacross a portfolio of missile and interceptor programs

  • Demonstrated leadership in buildingtechnical communities of practice, training programs, and longterm capability development plans for MS&A

Primary Level Salary Range: $183,200.00 - $274,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
