Join Millennium Print Group as an Industrial Systems Engineer!

We're looking for an Industrial Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team in Raleigh, NC. If you're passionate about manufacturing innovation, digital twins, facility design, and simulation-driven engineering, this is your opportunity to help design the future of the world's largest trading card manufacturing operation. In this role, you'll develop advanced manufacturing simulations, optimize facility layouts, and support major capital projects that improve operational efficiency, scalability, and production readiness.

What You'll Do
  • Design, develop, and optimize discrete-event simulation models to evaluate manufacturing operations, capacity, throughput, labor utilization, and material flow.
  • Create and maintain digital twin models and CAD-based facility layouts that support manufacturing design, equipment integration, and future expansion.
  • Analyze manufacturing scenarios to identify process improvements, validate engineering assumptions, and support data-driven decision making.
  • Design and optimize material flow strategies involving conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, warehousing, buffering, and production routing.
  • Lead manufacturing infrastructure planning for utilities including electrical systems, HVAC, compressed air, network connectivity, and dust collection.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Automation, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Project Management, and equipment suppliers to support capital projects and facility improvements.
  • Participate in equipment layout reviews, Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT), Site Acceptance Testing (SAT), commissioning, and production startup activities.
  • Develop engineering standards, simulation governance, documentation practices, and best practices for digital modeling.
  • Present engineering recommendations, dashboards, and technical findings to leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Identify opportunities to improve manufacturing performance through simulation, systems engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, facility design, systems engineering, simulation, or infrastructure planning.
  • Experience developing discrete-event simulation models using FlexSim, Arena, or similar simulation platforms.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD software.
  • Experience supporting digital twin development, facility design, manufacturing optimization, or capital projects.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing systems, material flow, capacity planning, automation, utilities, and production infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience supporting greenfield or brownfield manufacturing projects, automation systems, MES/WMS integration, conveyors, AGVs/AMRs, or robotics is a plus.
