Job description

Hiring: Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer
Location: Pelzer, SC
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Type: W2 Contract
Industry: Data Center / Power Infrastructure
We are actively hiring a Mechanical (Thermal) Design Engineer for an exciting opportunity in the Data Center / Power Infrastructure industry. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in HVAC systems, thermal design, and mechanical engineering.
 
Key Responsibilities:
• Design HVAC, thermal, ventilation, and airflow systems for power and data center modules
• Develop conceptual and detailed mechanical designs (SD, DD, CD)
• Perform thermal calculations, fire-rating analysis, and basic CFD modeling
• Prepare mechanical layouts, equipment arrangements, and integration documentation
• Coordinate with structural, electrical, and commissioning teams throughout project execution
• Support site visits, system integration, troubleshooting, and customer design reviews
 
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Thermal focus preferred)
• 4+ years of experience in Mechanical Design, HVAC, Thermal Systems, or Data Centers
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction drawings, and mechanical equipment
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and project management skills
