Job Summary
Seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 4+ years of experience in Data Center electrical design. Must have expertise in UPS, Switchgear, Generators, MV/LV Power Distribution, BMS, AutoCAD, Revit, and NEC. Experience with electrical schematics, power system design, and commissioning is highly preferred.
 

Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer
Location: Pelzer, SC

Key Responsibilities

  • Design electrical power distribution systems for Data Centers (AC/DC power, UPS, Switchgear, Generators, BMS, Lighting, Grounding).
  • Prepare single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and construction drawings using AutoCAD/Revit.
  • Perform electrical calculations, equipment sizing, and power system design.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, architectural, and commissioning teams.
  • Support installation, testing, commissioning, and occasional site visits.
  • Ensure designs comply with NEC and applicable electrical codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of Electrical Design Engineering experience.
  • Experience designing Data Center electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of UPS, Switchgear, Standby Generators, MV/LV Power Distribution, BMS, PLCs, and Grounding Systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
  • Good understanding of National Electrical Code (NEC).
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred, not required).
  • Experience with Modbus, TCP/IP, RS-485, and Ethernet communication protocols.
  • Experience supporting commissioning and Factory/Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
