Heller has been retained to identify and recruit an experienced and highly
qualified Director, Digital Technology to lead the organization's direction,
mission, vision, and Digital Technology (DT) competencies.
This leader will drive the adoption and scaling of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, intelligent automation, and digital manufacturing solutions to accelerate business transformation and operational excellence. This person will be responsible for human capital management, defining budgets, departmental directionality, and driving process improvement, innovation, and customer obsession. Reporting to Don McCartney, VP of Transport Segment, the Director of Digital Technology will also be responsible for securing operations of systems, data, and performance for mission-critical systems across the enterprise.

  • Champion the integration of AI/IA, machine learning, and intelligent automation into core business processes to unlock new value streams and improve decision-making.
  • Shape and advance the organization's digital manufacturing strategy to support long-term competitiveness, agility, and operational excellence.
  • Evaluate and position emerging technologies to modernize the digital ecosystem and enable a more adaptive, future-ready organization.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align technology strategy with business priorities, driving transformation across operations, engineering, and the value chain.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, digital fluency, and continuous evolution to sustain long-term transformation and organizational growth.
  • Build and Drive a BI self-serve organizational/architectural structure
  • Direct multiple teams of information technology professionals through performance management, annual reviews, career coaching, personal development plans; Promotes the DT C.A.R.E. competencies and a people first culture.
  • Work closely with Enterprise DT driving economies of scale and simplifying the application portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with IT and business policies and audit requirements including and coordinating measuring, and reporting on the technical aspect of IT management.
  • Deep understanding of core business domains across advanced digital solutions, digital manufacturing, ecommerce, and ERP through policy change, emerging trends, and economic impacts to better position strategic planning.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to develop 2-year strategy roadmap, define performance metrics, milestones, and outcomes across business optimization results
  • Partner with business leaders to understand the organizational direction, vision, and outcomes sought to better position technical solution design.
  • Review and approve financial management best practices through annual plans, budgets, assessing ongoing spend, ROI, and proposing and implementing changes to better the results and agility of the organization.
  • Develop departmental best practices, policies and procedures across IT operations, project approach, architecture and management with overall global IT targets and approach.
  • Overseeing technology operations and evaluating them accordingly to established goals and strategic roadmaps.
  • Serve as a strategic change leader, aligning executive vision with organizational execution while driving segment-wide transformation and adoption.
  • Partnering with the enterprise team in deploying leading industry standard data marts and warehouses while accelerating AI performance tool rollout

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree with ten (10) or more years of experience in the field or in a related area.
  • Five (5) or more years of management experience.
  • ITIL, COBIT, financial planning, budgeting, business acumen, data analytics, design thinking, agile, scrum, risk management, strategic planning, workforce planning
  • Communication, listening, adaptability, relationship building, negotiation, leadership, storytelling, coaching, public speaking, delegation skills

Pay Range:
$136,800.00 - $253,200.00
The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by various factors, including the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's experience, education and skills, as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
