Description: Our client is currently seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer
Our distinguished team encompasses accomplished engineers, seasoned advisors, and experienced startup veterans, collectively driven by an overarching mission to change the way the world sees. We are seeking a talented Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative organization. In this role you will have the opportunity to develop and implement advanced algorithms for radar systems contributing to the success of critical commercial defense projects. To excel in this role, you must possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of radar signal processing techniques, and a drive to continuously improve and innovate.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
  • Technical challenges cover a broad range of disciplines including antennas, the entire transmit and receive chain, radar system modeling, ground moving target identification, electronic warfare, maritime surveillance, image processing, algorithm development for advanced Radar image products and exploitation
  • Design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures
  • Design and implementation and testing of algorithms for detection, discrimination and tracking systems
  • Modeling and simulation of system designs to demonstrate performance metrics
  • Develop unique solutions and efficient implementations of signal processing algorithms for challenging mission applications
  • Use common industry signal processing tools such as IDL, MATLAB, Python or C++ to analyze data and generate algorithms
  • Analyze system level signal propagation, RF system performance, requirements development and review
  • Collaborate with a broad range of cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, program management, and senior leadership

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Key skills are MATLAB, Beamforming and Angle of arrival.
    • BS in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other related technical field (at least 2+ years experience)
    • MS in mathematics, physics, engineering, or other related technical field (0-2+ years of experience)
    • Experience in radar signal processing, probability and statistics, and algorithm development.
    • Proficiency in MATLAB, C/C++, Python.

    • Areas of focus:
    • Spatial array processing or Array signal processing
    • Angle of arrival (AOA)
    • Beamforming
    • Adaptive filters
    • Minimum Variance Distortionless Response (MVDR) - also called Minimum Variance Distortionless Look (MVDL) or minimum variance method
    • MUSIC (Multiple Signal Classification)
    • STAP (Space-time adaptive processing)
    • Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR)
