Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding remote support roles in digital signageTechnical installation and maintenance roles

Digital Signage Remote primarily involves remote support, troubleshooting, and management of digital signage systems, often from a distance. In contrast, Digital Signage Technicians focus on on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of digital signage hardware. Both roles are essential in the digital signage industry but differ in work environment and required skills.

What are some typical challenges faced when managing digital signage remotely, and how can they be addressed?

Managing digital signage remotely often involves challenges such as ensuring reliable content updates across multiple locations, troubleshooting hardware or connectivity issues from afar, and maintaining consistency in branding. To address these, professionals use robust content management systems (CMS) that enable scheduled updates and remote monitoring, and they establish clear procedures for local staff to assist with basic troubleshooting. Regular communication with on-site personnel and proactive system maintenance are also key to minimizing disruptions.

What is a Digital Signage Remote job?

A Digital Signage Remote job involves managing and operating digital display systems from a remote location. Professionals in this role are responsible for updating content, troubleshooting technical issues, scheduling multimedia displays, and ensuring smooth operation of digital signage networks for businesses or organizations. These jobs may require knowledge of digital signage software, networking, and customer support, and can often be performed from home or any off-site location. The role is ideal for those comfortable with technology and virtual collaboration tools.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Digital Signage Remote Specialist, and why are they important?

To excel as a Digital Signage Remote Specialist, you need a solid understanding of digital display technologies, networking basics, content management systems, and often a background in IT or audiovisual fields. Familiarity with digital signage software platforms (like Scala or BrightSign), remote monitoring tools, and troubleshooting protocols is typically required. Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and effective remote communication skills help you quickly resolve technical issues and coordinate with clients or teams. These skills ensure that digital signage networks operate reliably, content is delivered seamlessly, and client expectations are consistently met in a remote environment.

About the Role

Kensington Tours is looking for a highly organized, execution-driven Manager, Marketing Digital Operations to help power and scale our global digital ecosystem.

This role sits at the center of Marketing, Technology, Content, and Digital Production ensuring our websites and campaigns launch flawlessly, stay optimized, and deliver a premium brand experience at every touchpoint.

You'll own the operational engine behind kensingtontours.com, managing publishing workflows, digital governance, QA, and cross-functional coordination across internal teams and external partners. You'll also play a key role in evolving the digital experience itself by maintaining scalable CMS templates while partnering on new component ideas, page enhancements, and UX improvements through Figma and collaborative design thinking.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys process-driven and repeatable work, has a sharp eye for detail, and can also think creatively about how digital experiences can continuously improve.

What You'll Do

  • Own content publishing and digital production across kensingtontours.com.
  • Manage and maintain scalable CMS templates, reusable page structures, and publishing workflows across the website ecosystem.
  • Create and update Figma files and wireframes that bring templates, modules, and digital experiences to life.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Technology teams to recommend and evolve new website features, components, and UX improvements.
  • Lead end-to-end QA and release coordination, ensuring accuracy, functionality, responsiveness, and brand consistency before every launch.
  • Manage CMS governance including taxonomy, templates, workflows, page structures, and publishing standards.
  • Serve as the operational bridge between Marketing, Technology, Product, and external agency partners.
  • Drive website governance through ongoing audits, link management, redirects, compliance checks, and content health monitoring.
  • Build and improve scalable operational processes that reduce friction, eliminate bottlenecks, and improve speed-to-market.
  • Coordinate stakeholders, timelines, approvals, and release readiness to keep digital initiatives moving efficiently.
  • Support a culture of operational excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement across the digital experience.

What You Bring

  • 5-8 years of experience in digital operations, web production, content operations, UX production, or digital project management within a complex digital environment.
  • Hands-on experience working within CMS platforms (enterprise or headless CMS experience is a strong asset).
  • Strong stakeholder management & communication skills with the ability to confidently work cross-functionally with Marketing, Technology, Product, and external partners.
  • Experience working in Figma to create, maintain, or evolve digital templates, wireframes, page layouts, or UX concepts.
  • Strong process orientation with the ability to manage repetitive operational tasks with consistency, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience leading or coordinating UAT, managing defect tracking, facilitating IT sign-offs, and supporting successful go-live releases.
  • Familiarity with QA methodologies, web governance practices, accessibility standards, and digital brand guidelines.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for operational improvement and proactively recommend solutions.
  • Experience within travel, luxury, e-commerce, or high-consideration purchase industries is considered an asset.
