This position is designed to support remote work, primarily catering to those within a school setting in Oakland, California. • Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to evaluate students' mental health status, strengths, and areas for growth.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to the needs of each client.
• Educate clients and families about mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and coping strategies.
• Facilitate therapeutic groups and psychoeducational sessions that encourage positive mental health practices and resilience.
• Advocate for patients' rights and help them navigate the complexities of the mental health system to ensure they receive appropriate care.
• Document all interactions and treatment plans accurately in compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

Your primary focus will be students from diverse backgrounds who face various mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, trauma-related disorders, and more. This role demands a compassionate approach, as you'll be working to understand the unique challenges each individual faces and support them in their journey towards healing and academic success. • A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Current and active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health disorders, treatment methodologies, and crisis intervention techniques.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.

• Previous experience conducting therapy within a school setting or with children and adolescents is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and telehealth platforms.
• Experience in developing psychoeducational materials and conducting workshops is a plus.
