Digital Asset Manager

The Opportunity

The Digital Asset Manager at Glanbia Performance Nutrition will play a pivotal role in enhancing the efficiency of our Digital Asset Management (DAM) processes. This position will be part of the North America Creative Services team and will report into the Sr. Project Manager.

The librarian position is essential for ensuring that all creative assets are uploaded and tagged consistently, adhering to established protocols and standards. The Digital Asset Manager will be responsible for the collection, organization, storage, cataloging, and distribution of digital assets, which are crucial for our creative and marketing efforts. The role requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with various cross-functional groups, including: our internal Creative Services agency, Regional Sales and Marketing teams, external agency partners, freelancers, and more. The Manager will also identify usage rights for User-Generated Content (UGC) and other imagery that includes models and athletes. Overall, the Digital Asset Manager will be integral to the success of our digital asset management initiatives, ensuring that our assets are effectively managed and utilized globally across various marketing channels.

What You'll Do

  • Evaluating content to develop & maintain an appropriate taxonomy architecture for our DAM.
  • Uploading & organizing of images, logos, illustrations, labels, nutrition panels, video materials, and other types of media used in support for our brand's marketing efforts.
  • Following standard tagging protocols and best practices when optimizing content upon upload.
  • Intake of content from various global contributors across cross functional teams - Verifying, organizing, and cataloguing what is provided upon upload.
  • Managing access levels for users and user groups of the DAM.
  • Archiving or limiting access to retired and expired content.
  • Conducting regular audits of the digital asset library to ensure accuracy, consistency to Brand guidelines.
  • Collaborating with outside agency partners and internal teams to develop automations and workflows. Initiatives to include improved DAM keyword accuracy, content review workflows, tagging, rights management, alt text/VTT, and report on content readiness.
  • Enhancing DAM listings for better usability (e.g. thumbnails, descriptions, etc...) with use of manual processes and Ai tools.
  • Partnering with DAM software client services team to help maximize our investment in the software.
  • Documenting best practices for continuous improvement, and provide recommendations for technical innovation pathways.
  • Proactively advise cross-functional partners of upcoming usage expirations.
  • Global platform ownership, Enterprise DAM governance, Migration leadership, & Cross regional Rollout
  • Manage assets/brand guides for all global brands as well as Glanbia corporate assets.
  • Cross regional communication, training and follow-ups with all marketing & sales teams.

The Skills you will bring to the team

  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience managing DAM system and enterprise content management for a large client or company or agency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Library Science, Computer Science, Fine Arts or a related degree is required.
  • Strong understanding of digital asset management principles, standards, and best practices.
  • Experience working with DAM systems (e.g., OrangeLogic, Brandfolder, Aprimo etc.)
  • Knowledge of copyright laws and usage rights for digital assets.
  • Understanding of various media formats and ratios
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills. The ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills across multiple teams and regions.
  • Creative problem solver and a solution oriented mindset.
  • Experience working within cross-functional marketing and creative teams.

This range may not be applicable to other locations and targeted salary is midpoint of range.
