Role Purpose

The Delivery Lead - Organizational Design is responsible for leading the successful delivery of organizational design and operating model transformation initiatives. The role combines program delivery expertise with deep knowledge of organizational effectiveness, workforce design, governance, and change implementation.

Working closely with executive stakeholders, HR, business leaders, and transformation teams, the Delivery Lead will oversee the end-to-end delivery of organization design programs, ensuring strategic objectives are translated into practical structures, roles, processes, and ways of working that improve organizational performance.

Key ResponsibilitiesOrganizational Design Delivery
  • Lead the planning and delivery of organization design and operating model transformation programmes.
  • Translate business strategy into organizational structures, capability models, and workforce designs.
  • Manage multiple workstreams covering organizational design, governance, workforce planning, process redesign, and implementation.
  • Ensure organization design solutions are aligned with business objectives, customer outcomes, and financial targets.
  • Facilitate design workshops with senior leaders and key stakeholders.
Programme and Delivery Leadership
  • Establish and manage programme governance, delivery plans, milestones, risks, dependencies, and reporting.
  • Drive delivery against agreed timelines, budgets, and outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including HR, Finance, Technology, Operations, and external partners.
  • Monitor delivery performance and proactively resolve delivery issues and blockers.
  • Provide clear progress reporting to executive sponsors and steering committees.
Operating Model and Organization Effectiveness
  • Lead the assessment and redesign of organizational structures, spans and layers, decision rights, governance models, and accountabilities.
  • Develop target operating models that support strategic priorities.
  • Conduct organizational diagnostics and analyze workforce data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Support the design of role architectures, capability frameworks, and organizational structures.
Stakeholder Management
  • Build strong relationships with executive leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Facilitate alignment across business units and functions.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and navigate complex organizational environments.
  • Provide trusted advisory support to leadership teams during transformation initiatives.
Change and Implementation
  • Partner with change management teams to support adoption and embedding of new organizational structures.
  • Ensure organization design recommendations are translated into actionable implementation plans.
  • Support workforce transition planning and readiness activities.
  • Track realization of organizational benefits and outcomes.
Required Experience
  • Significant experience leading complex transformation or organizational design programmes.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale organizational restructuring, operating model, or business transformation initiatives.
  • Experience managing cross-functional delivery teams in complex environments.
  • Strong understanding of organizational design methodologies and frameworks.
  • Experience working with senior executives and leadership teams.
  • Demonstrated success managing programme governance, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder engagement.

What you'll bring to the table:

  • 8-10+ years senior consulting experience gained at a recognised professional services organisation.
  • Breadth and depth of consulting experience in delivering large-scale and complex initiatives ideally across a range of disciplines including cloud and data.
  • Strong understanding and experience of a variety of agile delivery and project management methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean, SAFe, Nexus). 
  • Comfortable in guiding multiple teams in delivery of outcomes and navigating the complexities of multi-vendor environments. 
  • Experience in defining AI delivery strategies that includes governance, ethics, and productivity benchmarks to optimise the product lifecycle and team effectiveness.
  • Proven ability to influence and manage executive-level stakeholders, bridging the gap between high-level business strategy and on-the-ground digital delivery.
  • Strong commercial acumen supported with practical experience in building investment cases, statements of work and MSAs.
  • Proven track record of account growth and commercial ownership, including the ability to identify opportunities, shaping commercial deals (e.g. outcome based) and influencing stakeholders on approach and outcome.
