Job description

Coalition Glass, a DBA of Enclos Corp, is redefining what's possible in pre-engineering glazing systems and unitized curtainwall solutions. As pat of the nation's leading façade contractor, we bring innovative, engineering building envelope solutions to projects of all sizes. We are growing, and we're looking for a Project Manager who's eager to learn our business from the ground up and play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional facades in the field.

If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment, enjoy solving technical challenges, and want to build a career in curtainwall and glazing systems, this is an excellent opportunity to join a team that invests in your development.

POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Project Manager with Coalition Glass, you'll gain exposure to every phase of our work – from design and engineering to fabrication and field installation. You'll work closely with project managers, engineers, vendors, and field teams to ensure our projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with drawings and specifications.

This role requires regular travel to project sites, fabrication facilities, vendor locations, and mock-up events. Travel frequency will vary based on project needs and may include short-notice trips. Candidates should be comfortable working both in the field and in office settings.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Technical Exposure and System Knowledge

  • Develop an understanding of Coalition's scope across design, engineering, mock-up, fabrication, assembly, and installation phases.
  • Learn the core materials used in our glazing and curtainwall systems (glass, aluminum, sealants, gaskets, metal panels, insulation, etc.) and how they perform.
  • Build foundational knowledge of curtainwall system components, structural considerations, and performance requirements.

Project Coordination and Documentation

  • Assist with post-sale design development, project set-up, schedule updates, and documentation management.
  • Support coordination of mock-ups, material procurement, sample submittals, and vendor communications.
  • Maintain logs, manage submittal tracking, and interface with general contractors and suppliers.

Field and Construction Support

  • Observe field installation, QA/QC processes, and safety walks with Superintendents and Quality Managers.
  • Assist with field coordination, deliveries, labor tracking, and troubleshooting on-site issues.
  • Document open items, predecessor lists, observations, and close-out requirements.

Project Management Fundamentals

  • Support RFP processes, vendor buyouts, and take-offs under supervision.
  • Develop awareness of cost controls, monthly billing processes, change orders, and contract management.
  • Help ensure schedule compliance and understand field impacts of delays.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University, preferably in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field; and 5-7 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least five years of relevant construction experience is preferred, ideally with exposure to the building envelope systems.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PlanGrid, Bluebeam, Procore, and scheduling software.

COMPENSATION

The successful candidate for the Project Manager role in Honolulu, Hawaii can expect to earn $90,000 to $130,000 per year. • Medical, dental, prescription, vision coverage
  • Tax-advantaged accounts for healthcare expenses
  • Flexible time off and paid holidays
