Job description

TriMark Digital is seeking a strategic, proactive and highly organized Digital Account Manager to manage client relationships and help drive the success of integrated digital marketing programs. As a performance marketing agency, we believe strong account management goes beyond keeping projects moving. Our Account Managers understand our clients' businesses, connect marketing activity to meaningful outcomes and ensure our teams are consistently focused on the work that will make the greatest impact.

In this role, you'll serve as a primary day-to-day partner for a portfolio of clients, building strong relationships while coordinating strategy and execution across paid media, SEO/AEO/GEO, content, creative, social, email, CRO, analytics, web and other digital channels. You'll work closely with TriMark's channel experts to translate client objectives into clear priorities, bring the right teams together and ensure strategies are executed effectively.

Our ideal candidate is a strong communicator, strategic thinker and proactive problem solver who takes ownership of their accounts. You're confident leading client conversations, translating performance into actionable recommendations and managing multiple priorities across teams. You understand how different digital marketing channels work together and can connect the dots between client goals, strategy and execution, bringing in the right subject matter experts when needed.

Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a primary day-to-day point of contact for a designated portfolio of clients, building trusted relationships and maintaining a high level of responsiveness and service.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's business, industry, customers, competitive landscape, marketing objectives and broader business goals.
  • Establish clear expectations around priorities, deliverables, timelines, responsibilities and performance.
  • Lead recurring client meetings, performance reviews, planning sessions and other strategic conversations.
  • Communicate proactively with clients regarding performance, opportunities, challenges, project status and upcoming priorities.
  • Build relationships across client organizations and understand the stakeholders, decision-makers and business dynamics that influence each account.
  • Anticipate client needs and identify opportunities to provide additional value before being asked.
  • Navigate challenging conversations professionally and work collaboratively with clients and internal teams to resolve issues.

Digital Strategy & Performance

  • Partner with internal strategists and channel specialists to develop integrated digital marketing strategies aligned with client objectives and measurable business outcomes.
  • Translate client business goals into clear marketing priorities, KPIs, campaign objectives and actionable plans.
  • Maintain a working understanding of TriMark's capabilities across paid media, SEO/GEO, content, social media, email and SMS, CRO, analytics, creative, web development and emerging digital channels.
  • Review account performance regularly and work with channel teams to identify trends, opportunities, risks and areas for optimization.
  • Help clients understand not just what is happening in their marketing programs, but why it matters and what we recommend doing next.
  • Connect performance across channels to provide clients with a more complete view of their marketing program rather than evaluating individual tactics in isolation.
  • Develop budget recommendations and help clients prioritize investments based on business goals, performance and opportunity.
  • Stay informed on changes in digital marketing, consumer behavior, technology, AI and the competitive landscape that may affect client strategies.

Account Planning & Execution

  • Own the overall health, organization and forward momentum of assigned client accounts.
  • Develop and maintain account plans, priorities, roadmaps and calendars in partnership with internal teams.
  • Translate client requests and strategic priorities into clear, actionable direction for internal teams.
  • Coordinate work across strategy, media, analytics, creative, content, development and other disciplines to ensure teams are aligned around client objectives.
  • Partner closely with project management resources to establish realistic timelines, manage dependencies and keep deliverables moving.
  • Ensure client feedback, decisions and changes in direction are clearly communicated to the appropriate internal teams.
  • Maintain visibility into account budgets, scopes, hours and deliverables and identify potential scope or resourcing concerns early.
  • Balance immediate client needs with longer-term strategic priorities to keep accounts moving forward rather than operating solely in a reactive environment.

Reporting & Client Communication

  • Partner with analytics and channel teams to develop meaningful performance reporting tied to client goals and KPIs.
  • Turn complex marketing data into clear narratives, insights and recommendations that clients can understand and act on.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly performance conversations with a focus on business impact, key learnings and next steps.
  • Prepare and deliver client presentations, strategic recommendations, campaign recaps, annual planning materials and other account communications.
  • Ensure reporting focuses on the metrics that matter most to the client's business rather than simply reporting channel activity.
  • Maintain clear documentation of decisions, action items, priorities and follow-up responsibilities.

Account Growth & Agency Partnership

  • Identify opportunities to deepen client relationships through new strategies, services and capabilities that align with genuine business needs.
  • Partner with agency leadership and subject matter experts to develop recommendations, proposals and scopes for expanded work.
  • Support client retention by maintaining strong relationships, demonstrating value and proactively addressing account health.
  • Look for opportunities to connect TriMark capabilities across channels to create stronger, more integrated programs.
  • Participate in annual and quarterly planning conversations that help clients establish priorities and determine where TriMark can make the greatest impact.
  • Serve as an internal advocate for the client while also representing TriMark's strategic recommendations, processes and standards.

Professional Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in digital marketing, account management, client services or a related role, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Experience managing multiple client relationships and digital marketing programs simultaneously.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital marketing channels including paid search, paid social, SEO, content, email, CRO, analytics, web and emerging platforms.
  • Ability to understand marketing performance data and translate it into clear insights, recommendations and business implications.
  • Experience working with platforms such as Google Analytics 4 and digital marketing reporting or analytics tools.
  • Strong presentation skills and confidence leading conversations with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt communication for different audiences.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to connect individual marketing initiatives to broader business objectives.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts, projects and deadlines in a fast-paced agency environment.
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving problems and making informed recommendations without waiting for perfect information.
  • Collaborative approach and ability to work effectively with specialists across creative, media, analytics, content, development and strategy.
  • High level of accountability and attention to detail, with a strong sense of ownership over client relationships and outcomes.
  • Curiosity and willingness to continuously learn as digital marketing platforms, technology and consumer behavior evolve.
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office and project management or collaboration platforms.

What Success Looks Like

A successful Digital Account Manager at TriMark is someone clients trust and internal teams want to work with. You understand where the client is trying to go, keep teams aligned around the right priorities and ensure our work is connected to measurable business outcomes. Rather than passing info between client and teams, you're adding context, asking questions, identifying opportunities and helping both sides make better decisions. You know when to lead, when to challenge, when to bring in a specialist and when to simplify a complicated conversation. Most importantly, you take ownership. You understand that great account management means staying ahead of the work, strengthening relationships and continuously looking for ways to make TriMark a more valuable partner to our clients.
