DIGITAL MARKETING & COMMERCE COORDINATOR

Title: Digital Marketing & Commerce Coordinator Reports To: Sr. Director

Position Purpose

The Digital Marketing & Commerce Coordinator supports digital marketing, ecommerce, customer engagement, creative content, and related digital initiatives across Ho-Chunk Trading Group businesses and the Retail Operations Division.

The position supports multiple businesses, brands, and customer-facing locations, including Pony Express C-Stores, SweetWater Cafes, SweetGrass Trading Company, Tribal Tea Co., and other assigned businesses and initiatives.

Scope of Responsibility

The position is accountable for day-to-day digital execution across supported businesses, brands, and retail locations and works with business leaders, Retail Operations, location managers, vendors, brand resources, and Corporate IT.

In simple terms: The Digital Marketing & Commerce Coordinator owns the day-to-day coordination and execution of digital marketing, ecommerce, loyalty, website, creative, and related digital work.

Primary Responsibilities

Digital Marketing, Social Media, and Creative Content

Manage social media channels, content calendars, digital communications, Google Business Profiles, and other customer-facing digital listings across supported businesses and locations.

Create and publish content supporting promotions, products, events, community initiatives, and other business priorities; monitor messages, comments, reviews, and reputation activity and coordinate appropriate responses.

Create routine digital and print materials using Adobe Creative Cloud, Canva, or similar tools, including social graphics, website assets, signage, menus, email graphics, and promotional materials.

Capture and edit basic photography and video and apply established brand standards, coordinating higher-level brand or specialized design needs with appropriate creative resources.

Support multi-channel campaigns across social media, websites, ecommerce, email, loyalty, digital advertising, and in-store promotion.

Ecommerce and Website Management

Support day-to-day administration of company websites and ecommerce platforms, including product listings, descriptions, images, pricing, promotions, menus, hours, and other customer-facing content.

Support online merchandising, product launches, bundles, seasonal promotions, and other ecommerce initiatives.

Coordinate routine website updates, enhancements, troubleshooting, and vendor requests.

Identify practical opportunities to improve website usability, customer experience, product presentation, and ecommerce performance.

Loyalty and Customer Engagement

Support ongoing administration, promotion, and improvement of customer loyalty and rewards programs.

Coordinate loyalty initiatives with Retail Operations, location managers, vendors, system owners, and other stakeholders, including testing, offers, campaigns, customer communications, enrollment, and program adoption.

Serve as project lead or business-side coordinator for assigned loyalty and other customer-facing digital initiatives.

Monitor available loyalty and customer-engagement performance information and recommend practical improvements.

Analytics and Digital Platforms

Monitor and report relevant performance metrics across websites, ecommerce, social media, loyalty, email, and digital campaigns using Google Analytics and other available tools.

Provide practical reporting and recommendations that help connect digital activity to business outcomes when data is available.

Perform routine administration, content or configuration changes, and first-level troubleshooting for assigned digital platforms within the employee's training and access.

Coordinate infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, hardware, and advanced technical matters with Corporate IT or the appropriate vendor.

Cross-Functional Projects and Support

Lead or support assigned digital, ecommerce, marketing, customer-experience, and business-improvement projects.

Coordinate project timelines, stakeholders, vendors, testing, documentation, implementation, and follow-through.

Research and help implement new digital tools, platforms, and capabilities as business needs arise.

Maintain organized documentation of key digital platforms, vendors, processes, administrative ownership, and company-controlled accounts, and escalate significant priority conflicts to the Sr. Director.

Decision-Making Authority

Execute routine digital content, website updates, approved campaigns, and platform changes within established priorities and brand standards.

Organize and coordinate assigned projects, stakeholders, vendors, timelines, testing, and implementation.

Recommend improvements to websites, ecommerce, loyalty, campaigns, customer engagement, and digital processes.

Coordinate loyalty and promotional execution while deferring pricing, program economics, major rules, and other material business decisions to the accountable business leader.

Escalate contracts, significant expenditures, legal or compliance concerns, reputational risk, advanced technical issues, and matters outside delegated authority.

Success Measures

Success in this role will be measured by:

Consistent, accurate, and professional digital execution across supported businesses and locations.

Current and accurate websites, ecommerce content, digital listings, product information, menus, and promotional materials.

Effective implementation and support of loyalty, customer-engagement, campaigns, and assigned digital projects.

Quality and consistency of creative content and brand execution.

Useful performance reporting, practical recommendations, and appropriate follow-through.

Effective coordination with business leaders, Retail Operations, location managers, vendors, and support resources, including appropriate escalation of significant issues.

The position is a shared digital resource across Ho-Chunk Trading Group and Retail Operations. Business leaders retain commercial and operational decision authority within their areas.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, digital media, ecommerce, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered. Candidates should demonstrate strong communication, organization, and digital problem-solving skills, with ability in several areas such as social media, websites, ecommerce, graphic design, analytics, loyalty programs, or digital projects. Basic knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO) and digital search best practices is preferred. Comfort learning new platforms is important. Portfolio or work examples are strongly preferred, and travel to supported locations may be required.
