Position Summary
Support and grow revenue through multi-channel direct marketing efforts, including email, digital, mobile, and other media channels, in alignment with Divisional Headquarters strategy. Assist in the execution and optimization of fundraising campaigns to support donor retention and growth. Support the management of websites, social media, and digital/print marketing collateral for The Salvation Army Orange County. This role works closely with DHQ, Development, and agency partners to ensure alignment with divisional strategy, brand standards, and campaign execution. Supervises and supports the Communications Assistant. Reports to the Director of Development of Orange County.
Pay Range
$80k-90k/yr.
Essential Functions
  • Support the development and execution of creative assets for digital, video, and print campaigns in alignment with divisional brand standards and campaign strategy.
  • Collaborate with DHQ and approved agency partners to execute paid media campaigns, including PPC, SEO, SEM, retargeting, and programmatic efforts.
  • Maintain analytics reports on campaign performance across platforms and track KPIs.
  • Execute and manage social media content across platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn), aligning with divisional campaigns and adapting content for local audiences.
  • Assist in managing regional marketing budgets in coordination with leadership and DHQ to ensure campaigns stay within scope.
  • Maintain and update The Salvation Army Orange County websites in alignment with divisional CMS (Zesty) standards and best practices.
  • Support digital fundraising efforts on GoFundMe Pro in alignment with divisional campaign strategy and structure.
  • Supervise and support the Communications Assistant, providing guidance, mentorship, and development opportunities.
  • Support the creation and production of printed and digital marketing materials, ensuring alignment with brand standards and campaign messaging.
  • Support the execution of direct response fundraising efforts across channels (digital, mobile, and other platforms) in collaboration with DHQ and Development teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams across the division to support marketing and fundraising initiatives.
  • Ensure brand consistency across all regional marketing efforts in alignment with divisional standards.
  • Participate in regional and divisional marketing meetings to ensure alignment, collaboration, and consistency.
  • Support the Development team in executing regional events, including invitation design, digital promotion, and other related event duties.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions
Must be able to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Must be able to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. Ability to accurately gauge colors and view detailed graphics.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must be in good health and capable of meeting the physical demands of the position.
  • If working in the vicinity of children, a criminal background check is required along with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
  • Proficient in Adobe Create Cloud -
  • Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Premier.
  • Proficient in Adobe Analytics and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with website management tools, social media, and printed/digital advertising.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Zesty (CMS), GoFundMe Pro, and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar) preferred.
  • Must have excellent writing and editing skills.
  • If working in vicinity of children a criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to work with, direct, and relate well with co-workers, community members, and guests/clients.
  • Able to function in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.
