2:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday

Job Summary

The Press Operator will produce printed objects and materials using assigned printing machinery. Responsible for having Flexo Presses staged with materials and tooling for efficient workflow. Run press and complete jobs in an efficient manner. Assisting with Quality Control in the pressroom. Performing any other additional activities as directed by your supervisor (which may include running a machine, and/or assisting in maintenance needs).

Supervisory Responsibilities

Duties /Responsibilities

Operates various types of printing machines.

Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs.

Determines quantities required for print job.

Aligns and configures machinery.

Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings.

Troubleshoots issues with printing machine and makes basic repairs.

Performs routine maintenance on printing machines.

Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals.

Maintains a clean area around printing machinery.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

Ability to operate or to quickly learn to operate various printing machines.

Ability to follow instructions.

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent Mechanical Skills

Punctual and Reliable.

Education and Experience

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience with Mark Andy Printing equipment – A MUST.

Experience in Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.

Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.

Previous related experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

Physically able to operate printing machines.

Able to bend, twist, and kneel.

Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
