Job description

Description
As a Digital Print Operator, you will be responsible for operating high-speed roll-to-roll digital printers, ensuring the quality, accuracy, and efficiency of print jobs in a fast-paced production environment. This role requires attention to detail, technical skills, and the ability to work independently while maintaining high standards for quality and safety.
Shift Schedule: 6:00 pm - 6:00 am; Rotating Schedule
Due to the nature of our business, mandatory overtime is required during high-volume production periods and other times of increased workload. Flexibility to work extended shifts and/or weekends is an essential requirement of this position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Operate state-of-the-art high-speed roll-to-roll digital printers at maximum speed.
  • Accomplish production targets while upholding rigorous quality and safety standards.
  • Configure, code, and initiate individual print job.
  • Monitor quality of job output for color, position accuracy, and overall print quality.
  • Mitigate waste of paper inventory.
  • Perform all maintenance tasks and report service issues to the shift supervisor.
  • Report problems promptly through appropriate channels.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • May require cross-training on other equipment within other departments as production needs require.
  • Perform other duties as required

Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Experience with digital presses or direct mail is a plus, but training will be provided
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Ability to read and comprehend job orders and client specifications
  • Ability to apply written instructions for machine set-up and maintenance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other employees of the organization
  • Excellent attention to detail, including color perception and recognition
  • Proven history of punctuality and a strong work ethic
  • Applicants must successfully pass a background check

Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to read and write in English

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
  • Requires occasional bending at the waist.
  • Requires stooping on occasion.
  • Repetitious pinching and gripping.
  • Ability to lift and move boxes up to 50 pounds
