Job description

Wolverine Solutions Group is a full-service document management company, specializing in direct mail production and document management services We provide customized, cutting edge solutions for document execution, hard copy or electronic, for our clientele in both local and national markets.
Summary:
To efficiently and effectively operate assigned print devices to insure that top quality and production standards are met and exceeded on all production.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Determine work for shift by reading instructions and production schedule, or through oral instructions given by supervisor.
  • For job setup and production: load paper into printer, set appropriate guides, keys, and switches.
  • Enter commands into computer to start and operate production.
  • Observe machine operation and error lights to detect mechanical malfunctions.
  • Observe printed material for defects such as creases, tears, smears, streaks, etc.
  • Remove faulty material and notify supervisor of error or machine stoppage.
  • Look up, and verify reprints due to paper jams and/or printing error.
  • Separates, sorts, and distributes printed material to proper departments when production is to be processed internally. For externally processed material, operator will provide all necessary documentation for shipment to outside customer location.
  • Checks and verifies all pulled stock upon delivery.
  • Cleans and supplies all printers operated with paper, toner, fusing agent, and other consumable materials not maintained through maintenance agreement.
  • Supports and abides by all established safety policies and practices.
  • Enters all production time and counts into MIS system.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following duties satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities required. Additionally qualifications include: good communication skills, self-motivated, organized and detail oriented.
Education and/or Experience:
High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one to three months related work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Employee should be computer literate.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend the English language for the purpose of properly matching words and numbers. Ability to read and interpret documentation such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to speak effectively and professionally to customers and/or employees of our or any other organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply one's knowledge and interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form for desired outcomes. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
  • While performing this job, the employee is regularly required to stand. Must be able to lift boxes weighing up to 50 lbs. For an average of four times per hour. Must be able to move large rolls of paper to and from the high-speed laser printers (weighing up to 700 lbs.) Operator is required to frequently use hands to load paper, operate machine and operate a computer through the use of a keyboard.

  • While performing the duties of this job, associate is required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel, stoop, and occasionally kneel or crouch. The associate must regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Specific vision abilities require close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.
