Job description

JOB SUMMARY/OBEJECTIVE: As the Prepress Department Lead, you will oversee all prepress activities to ensure the accurate preparation of digital files for printing. Your role is essential in maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing workflows, and facilitating efficient production processes. This position requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and leadership abilities to manage a team of prepress professionals effectively.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead the prepress team in preparing digital files for printing, including checking file formats, resolution, color profiles, and fonts.
  • Review customer-provided artwork and make necessary adjustments to meet printing requirements and quality standards.
  • Manage color calibration and profiling processes to ensure accurate color reproduction across different printing devices and substrates.
  • Work closely with production coordinators and operators to address any prepress-related issues and prevent production delays or errors.
  • Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to support the professional growth and development of team members.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and advancements in prepress workflows to continuously improve departmental practices.
  • Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service teams to understand customer requirements and expectations.
  • Any other related task and/or responsibility assigned by supervisor.
