Job description

About the Role

Talarico for Texas is building a people-powered movement to take back power for working Texans. We are seeking a Digital Platforms Strategist to set and oversee execution of platform strategy across the campaign's social media presence, driving innovative approaches. This is a managerial role.

  • Directly manage and oversee execution across the Content Manager team, ensuring platform strategies are being implemented effectively and on schedule
  • Identify and lead innovative digital initiatives beyond current platform playbooks - including how AI tools and AI-driven discovery (e.g., chatbots, AI search/SEO) intersect with the campaign's social presence
  • Monitor platform trends and shifts in the digital landscape, adjusting strategy to keep the campaign ahead of the curve rather than reactive to it
  • Partner with the Creative Director to align platform strategy with the campaign's overall creative and messaging direction

Requirements

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in political communications, digital media, or a related field
  • Exceptional writing skills and strong editorial judgement
  • Fluent in new media platforms, social media, Reddit, Substack, and others
  • Deep familiarity with the evolving digital media landscape, including video trends and platform-specific best practices
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to balance speed with quality in a rapidly adapting political environment
  • Willingness to work nights and some weekends

Benefits

Reports to: Creative Director
Location: Austin, Texasย

Salary: $9,000 per month
