POSITION SUMMARYย
The Program Specialist, Digital Inclusion provides support to bridge the digital divide for CHA's residents and supports CHA's Digital Resources Center (i.e., computer labs).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESย
- Deliversย CHA'sย digitalย inclusionย services toย CHA residents byย increasingย awareness ofย affordableย internet services,ย distributingย devices, andย facilitatingย digital skills training;ย developsย programming and activities to increase technology literacyย for residents.ย
- Helpsย developย andย facilitatesย useย ofย satisfaction surveys andย evaluationย toolsย to measure programย effectivenessย in collaboration with Digital Inclusion team.ย Plans and promotesย a professional development program forย Digital Resource Center (DRC)ย Associates to provide quality service to residents.ย Conducts one-on-one training sessions and workshops forย residentsย as necessary.ย
- Developsย and managesย communications plan for division initiatives to drive engagement and participation.ย
- Manages andย implementsย an annual Digital Inclusion program calendarย to help driveย resident engagementย with departmental activities.ย
- Attends meetings as directed on behalf of Manager.ย
- Presents onย topics related toย CHA'sย Digitalย Inclusion programming and resources to various stakeholders.ย
- As needed,ย assistย theย DRCย Associatesย and contracted agenciesย in gathering and reviewingย monthly reports and otherย dataย pointsย relevant to DRC activities.ย Maintains departmental SharePoint site for internal resource sharing;ย maintainsย departmental records for variousย resource programs.ย
- Assistsย with scheduling, creating agenda items, andย facilitatingย monthlyย meetings withย DRCย Managersย and DRCย Associates.ย ย
- Refers participants to CHA'sย Economic Power Programs, including but not limited to WORC,ย LevelUp,ย and Partners in Education.ย
- Handlesย multiple projects simultaneouslyย andย responds to change in a positive manner.ย
- May be asked to handle tasks outside of job description to meet broader goals of CHA and Resident Services.ย
- This position requires working hours outside of CHA's established hours of 8:30a-5p,ย Monday-Friday.ย
- This position has theย optionย of working remotely up toย oneย day per weekย following successful probationary period.ย
QUALIFICATIONSย
This position requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), with up to two (2) years of relevant work experience. The position requires strong knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Power Point and Excel) including the ability to compile and generate spreadsheets capturing key data related to DI initiatives, create and deliver interactive presentations and convert comprehensive information into written reports. Must be able to teach basic computer functions to all age groups. Requires travel to and work with external partners and residents in and around CHA's properties; a valid Driver's License is required. Must possess strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer relation skills. Must have a positive attitude, the ability to adapt to change, and be able to handle and prioritize multiple tasks under tight deadlines.ย ย ย
